Problem?
Post Miranda.
Omega, what a pisshole. At least there's KROGAN COCK in droves.
There is literally no reason you could not fire that weapon without a "thermal clip." It would just be limited to one or two shots and then a cooldown period.
There is. They attempted that system but the playtesters found it too confusing.
Hand Cannon in ME2 is the best Mass Effect gun.
Idc what you fags said thermals made shotguns way better
>Shoot someone across the map after a biotic charge
>Krogan shotgun pumps that huge ass thermal clip
Satisfying. The smoke and shell ejection is 50% of what makes shotguns so satisfying. If you dont have that then dont include them in the game.
>pump and done
Sounds about right
>give retarded playtesters options that enables them to do unique and interesting things with the game logic.
>they get confused because it's a choice that enables them to adapt to a situation in the gameplay instead of being handheld the entire way through.
kill.
fuck off tripfag
I wish I had just stopped playing there
They should have combined both systems, let you wait for the cool down thus saving the clip, or fire all out and over heat and you need to eject and replace the burnt out clip.
I'd prefer this. I liked the addition of clips from a gameplay perspective, cause ammo management is another layer of fun and ME1 became pretty fucking brainless once you had good weapons cause you could just spam without worry but it sucks they had to fuck the lore so hard to get it.
Shit I'd even take a mix where some weapons work on a clip system and some don't. ME3 had clips but the Lancer used the old system and was a great weapon
Why the fuck would any military, or just about anyone else for that matter, go from using a system that gives you (almost) unlimited ammunition to regress back to using limited ammunition?
>thermal clips cool down slowly over 30 seconds and reload as they cool down
>you can eject and put away the hot clip and insert a new one for a full "magazine"
>one aspect of gameplay is juggling thermal clips as they cool down and heat up
>inventory system where you can choose to have say three AR clips at the cost of having fewer shotgun clips, etc
What could've been.
starter pistol is better with ammo buffs
>Man with eye implants reads what's the status of his weaponry, hence the way he says it
Damn.
Yeah, I really love how that's STATED IN THE GAME.
So frustrating because there are a lot of things they could have done with it to make it interesting rather than just feeling like generic ammo like in any third person shooter game. It could have been interesting if they merged the clips with me1 logic. Have it so that if you didn't exhaust the heat sinks they would eventually cool down over time like in me1, but if you are in a tight situation and can't afford to wait for your gun to cool you can replace the heat sink. Then make the thermal clips far less common to come by so players would actually have to manage their fire rate, maybe even make it so if you fire a gun too much without a clip it has the danger of overloading so you can throw the gun itself like a grenade.
>everything must be stated instead of just thinking for yourself
I guess Mass Effect isn't for you then since there is so much stuff that's unexplained.
la goblina
What else are those implants used for?
The problem with making thermal clips more rare is that it wouldn't make sense in-universe. Metal will be hilariously common in the era of space travel, mining anything you need would be trivial, even gold would be near worthless due to how common and accessible it would be. The only real limit to how many thermal clips you have would be how many you could carry.
>wtf is a HUD used for
You must be breaindead. It's literally like Elon Musk's neuro link shit.
built for krogan cock
Oh, we're going that route. Okay, where in does it say the word "thermal clips"?
Here's your ship back bro!
Leave MJ alone!
Why the fuck did they do this. Wouldn’t edi’s arc of becoming more human be more impactful if her body was like a normal mech or something. Hell, keep her as the ship yet show her having all these human traits
What's a homage to old sci-fi without a sexy fembot?
I just don’t like the fembot taking up a place on the squad selection that could’ve been filled with jack, Miranda, Wrex, grunt, zaeed, Kasumi or samara
The problem is EA didn't give them enough time to implement everything possible and the people you listed were potentially dead in 2.
>remove the only unique and interesting thing about your franchises gunplay
I like how originally the plan was to have thermal sinks that gradually cool off but are also ejectable but the average ME player was too dumb to figure it out so they had to dumb it down to conventional ammunition with a different name, destroying yet another unique aspect of the series
Because the implants Shepard's using are up to date maybe and inform him his gun isn't loaded. Watch the scene, he literally pronounces it so it seems he's just reading it
>inb4 he didn't know how to voice act that one line
You’d think they’d give the dev team the time needed to finish the final games in a well loved series. To avoid getting a bad reputation and losing potential sales but naaahhhh
