The obnoxious design features are created this way so the console is recognizable to grannies
Xbox series S is "that white one with the big black dot"
Xbox series X is "that black one with the green holes at the top"
the box art shows exactly those features
You don't get it

I guess you've got a good point. The box is to identify and hold the product not be the product. Though I think the Series S box looks fine regardless in its own right.
Fucking bill gates thinks of everything. Now I get to tongue kiss gram gram under the mistletoe this year because she won't fuck up and get me the wrong thing.
Why cant I just buy my own SSD, then get some sata-usb adapter like you could do with xbone?
what "obnoxsious" design features?
the hole for the huge fan?
if you want obnoxious post pictures of the roachstation
>obnoxious
I don't know, man
1tb external SSD is about $125 and we are talking bargain bin price, being a 2.5'' device
add that this is like a thumbdrive
add the xbox tax
add the new product tax
So... are we still getting "propietary" hard drives with xbox?
It's a fast nvme of 1tb in a modified 2242 format.
I dare you to find it for cheap.
Sony will be the same thing, with their "certified" nvmes.
People will be forced to swap games with a external sata/usb HDD/SSD. Fast Solid State is not cheap.
>I dare you to find it for cheap.
I can't. that's the point of my reply
Why do consoles and PCs all look so faggy now?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Seagate
Jesus
I though it was some jewish cuck thing. Better versio was bigger and more powerful. Like black cock. Submisive was white whit black hole. Like ass of white woman or man that big black cock takes.
>Sony will be the same thing, with their "certified" nvmes.
What a brainlet way to interpret that. It's nowhere near the same.
The only "certification" is whether the SSD fits (just like this gen where you can't install a full size fat HDD on a PS4) and if it is quick enough. That's it. You'll be able to chose from multiple options, dozens upon dozens of SSD's as years go by and more are available. Whereas on XseX the ONLY option will forever be THE proprietary overpriced SSD and nothing more.
But 220 is not overpriced user. Expansion storage can be hotswapped and it's easier to install.
MS should promote the format to more manufacturers, only that.
>Whereas on XseX the ONLY option will forever be THE proprietary overpriced SSD and nothing more.
you can still use a usb ssd or a regular hd, lad
looks like an upside down söyjack
Built for BBC (Big Black Console)
Sorry but proprietary will forever be overpriced. I don't know of a single example of the contrary. Vita's SDs were more expensive, RED camera storage is more expensive, so on and so forth.
Also the alternatives you guys give don't run games, they are just for storage and nothing else. Even if you get a 10TB usb SSD/HDD you'd still need to transfer it to your console's main SSD and use that space before playing. Clearly we aren't talking about storage for storage's sake here, but storage from which the console can run the games.
Everyone but the Snoys know this. It was made to be easily distinguished from One models. The Xbox bubble would have been cooler on the S though.
>don't run games, they are just for storage and nothing else
that's not true
I use different usb drives to run my games from on the xbonex
you can have a usb ssd and the diference vs installed are almost non existent
ofc the new ssd bananarama will probably be faster for a while, but the market will catch up
there's legit interesting leaks then there's this. microsoft wouldn't release a whole fucking console for $299 and then a memory card for the same price. this is clearly a placeholder. expect closer to $100.
>obnoxious
One is a small box that costs $300. Literally smaller than a 360.
It's only obnoxious to snoys that have to stand for their expensive dehumidifier.
>I use different usb drives to run my games from on the xbonex
>you can have a usb ssd and the diference vs installed are almost non existent
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd how's that relevant to our XseX and PS5 discussion?
You know you can't do that anymore next gen right?
How do you know? At least on the bone, I expect the same features and USB drives is clearly one
If you want to pay for that ultrafast bananarama is up to you
>2020
>Corona
>shopping in brick & mortar stores
Oh I'm sorry for you, you missed the news.
The only way to run games on both XseX/S and PS5 is through the internal SSD or XseX's $200+ proprietary SSD or one of PS5's compatible 3rd party SSD's.
Anything that connects through USB won't run games as the connection is too slow.
You can easily google search this bro.
only true for latest-gen games.
Game Pass is full of Xbox One games for which you can use standard external storage.
Wtf. Sorry to hear that, then. Thanks for the info, lad. I guess add swap would be the solution again
What zoomer doesn’t just order their obedient weak elders to give them money?
No kissing until you get your vaccine mr. Superspreader granny-killer.
>t. billy boy
Ahh yes I forgot about all the baggage you want to carry with you. Fair enough I didn't disclouse I was talking about relevant games and stuff you'll actually be playing 99% of the time a year or two from now all the way up the end of the next generation.
>"This next-gen system can play everything that isn't next-gen (AKA the only reason to buy one) from external HDDs!"
Aight, you win on that one I guess. Enjoy the next decade of playing old generation games.
Also if you care about BC so much why not just stick to XboneX? In fact don't you want to be able to actually play all of Xbox and 360 games on the original systems instead of being limited to 1% and 20% of their libraries, respectively, like you are on Xbone and XseX?
i only get like $100 that way and would have to save for a console myself.
>don't you want to be able to actually play all of Xbox and 360 games on the original systems
no.
if they have X One Enhancements, they are basically remasters:

for others, you still get smoother frame-rates/pacing and less input-lag.
