Is grinding a shit game mechanic?

is grinding a shit game mechanic?

like the grinding i did on your sister?

there was a grand total of 20 seconds between when i posted this post, and when you posted.

Yes

It's a neat secret drop. Calm your OCD you don't have to look for it.

If the combat of the game lacks control or the ability to win strategically then yes, "kill X numbers of random encounters to progress" is pretty shit.

ITS POO'S ONLY FUCKING WEAPON

In a way. If its grinding senselessly for a slightly higher drop rate that doesn't even make sense yes.
If its like MH trying to obtain a specific rare part it is consistent and the drop rate is not quite that big of an issue.
In general I'd rather have rarer drops be tied to increasingly more difficult encounters where the grinding is trying again and again until success, with gameplay means to increase the likelihood of a drop. Such as breaking a part or using specific weapons.

You can finish the game without it

I like it.

Rich people never grind, their ancestors carried their asses so they are the at the top, they just donate for gear
Grinding is for the middle class workers
Homeless people would rather cheat than get into the rat race again

depends on the game.
having to use a certain comp so you can use an ability so you can have a chance to spawn metal slimes IS NOT a good mechanic

huh?
video games?

holy cope

Poo's perfectly fine without it.
It's only +30 offense. Compared to the weapons the rest of the party has by that point, it's fucking trash.

coping about what?
video games?
why would i cope about video games?

holy seethe

poo's real weapon are water bottles so he can spam star storm

seething about what?
this is a thread about video games.
what am i seething about?

yes

This.
Fire Emblem Echoes and Persona 5 are great exemples.

In a single player only game yea very shit

25 seconds, you retard. you can see the timestamps. What are you, a Tesla dashboard clock?

user he's trying to subtly remind you to dilate.

I am genuinely disgusted by grinding in single-player games. Any game that introduces any element of grinding is immediately dropped without question.
If I wanted to grind I'd play a cancerous MMO or perhaps a limp-dick gacha.

>fills jeff's inventory with multi bottle rockets
nothin personell giygas.

No.

It's fucking trash lmao, doesn't make Poo not a piece of shit.

>Not Gutsy Bat

what was the point of jeff's gadgets anyway?
his inventory space was much better used up by his gear and 8 bottle rockets

I can kind of appreciate it as an in-game difficulty selector, but I do wish there was an option for level caps so I can be more certain I'm the "intended level" for a dungeon/fight.
Any games that limit your levels in a difficulty mode or something similar? Bonus points if it isn't just "Locks you to level 1" and it actually scales based on your progress through the game.

>earthbound
Nintensoi shit garbage

>Fire Emblem
>lacks control or the ability to win strategically
>"kill X numbers of random encounters to progress"
