Is this worthy of all the praise it gets or is it because a small indie company made the game? I'm sure with any RPG I'd get my moneys worth but the combat looks so basic and bland, is it actually good?

Every single day a DoS2 thread only to talk about the same shit over and over. It's never to discuss plot points or endings or characters or anything. It's always the same shit. "Should I play it? Is it good? Best party?"

Only for people to cry about Larian, tag over Fane and post Sebille porn.

Fuck you all. And Ifan is the canon protagonist

Yea, it's good. Small but compact maps with multiple approaches.

>but the combat looks so basic and bland
The combat is the best part though, I find it very fun.

People on here will cry about it being a crpg for babies and stupid shit like that, don't listen to them. It's the best goddamned crpg I've played in years and it blows Pillars of Eternity and the like out of the fucking water. The combat takes awhile to get used to but once you've figured it out you're in for one Hell of a game

Is it worth my hard earned 12 bong dollars on Steam? If I download a Chinese Botnet version I'll only be missing out on multiplayer right?

The combat is NOT bland, dude. This game can be an absolute fucking bastard and the scenarios and overall mechanics have good overall variety. I will jerk this game off forever, it's actually worth it

I'd say it's worth it, it's like a 100 hours long fun game, but pirate it if you don't know, either way it's worth checking out.

Definitely not for impatient zoomers. A lot of reading and listening in this game. Plus combat is turned based. If your brain is so ducked up that you need dopamine fast then you will find this game boring as fuck

just fucking pirate it
fucking dweeb

Any class recommendations? I think I can change my party members to be any class with a slight penalty if they aren't acting in their preset one? For example Red Prince as a Tank. I made an Enchanter since the Water spell seems really strong but I feel like a lowly support, if an enemy melees me I either stand there and hit myself with my own spells or move, attack once, end turn and repeat

Games 9/10, combats not bland at all, fights are unique, different elemental reactions are dope and the builds you can do are pretty groovy

I gaved up after 5mins
the game is way to ugly

>different elemental reactions
>implying battle locations aren't on fire 95% of the time

What are some fun builds? Preferably more unique ones.

>Is this worthy of all the praise it gets
Yes. It is worth even more praise.
>is it actually good?
It is spectacular but with an asterisk. If you are too dumb you won't be able to experience even half the things the game has to offer. I am not even memeing. DOS2 is not for retards.

Barrelmancy

post the sebille porn so i can go pls thanks

Dos2 has one of the best combat systems of all time

>What are some fun builds? Preferably more unique ones.
Crit+double wands that combo up, sadly i don't remember the exact build but the damage was off the charts.

>not for retards
This. I played the PS4 version on co-op with my roommate and we tried building our characters DnD-style before we properly learned the game and got absolutely buttfucked into oblivion. Before anybody shittalks, console co-op for crpgs is genius, especially when choosing to actively fuck over/not fuck over your co-op partner is tied into the lore of the game like it is in DOS2. Sure, it adds some jank, but it's not tacked on by any means.

>Sebille
What about the Radeka or Adramahlikh porn?

>If you are too dumb you won't be able to experience even half the things the game has to offer
like what?

If they didn't patch it out use the telekinesis bug to fill a crate with an infinite amount of weight and drop it on anything in the game to insta-kill it.

>combat
>bland
You can shit on the physical / magic armor split but the combat is no way in hell bland. You should say that to the basic bitch turn based combat like in FF Tactics or Runersia or FE3H

Also, do NOT play the game on Tactician difficulty the first time you play the game, it was the original intended AI and whatnot for the game but they dialed it back into the lower difficulties because it was too hard

Check the game's wiki and other forums if you want spoilers. If you had half a brain you'd play the game instead. Retard.

>do NOT play the game on Tactician difficulty the first time you play the game
I did and it was fine. Some fights were hard, yeah, but I enjoyed them. The final fight fucked my ass hard, until I realised you can actually side with Lucian and not fight everyone at once. It felt kind of cheap though, so I fought them all anyway, but it took a lot of saving and loading to get through this fight.

>If you are too dumb you won't be able to experience even half the things the game has to offer.
bleeding curse shit ruins most combos, that and its rocket tag gameplay where you either kill/CC most of the encounter in the first round or you're basically dead

>do NOT play the game on Tactician difficulty
That's the best difficulty to play on. It's the one that will force you to think outside of the box.

What are you sperging out for? I played the game already, I'm just asking what is so easy to miss.
