He doesn't deserve the success

He doesn't deserve the success

I mean he's slowly turning into a lich so at least there's a drawback

Well he literally stole games and sold them on the black market and used that money to found his company

So no, he doesn't deserve success

fuck off sapkowski

>33 years vs 5 years

why did he need to find his company, had he lost it?

Man and did you know the witcher sold more than bubble bobble and ghosts n goblins?! How are those related?? They aren't!

That's just good business.

I hate Poland so fucking much, come hate pooland with me.

TPP and TW3 were released in the same year, both were open world games and TW was relatively niche when compared to MG series, almost unknown to console players
Also MGSV development took longer, the Fox Engine has been in development since 2008, less than 1 year from release of TW1 and during that time CDPR was nearly bankrupt thanks to cancelled TW1 console port.

>TW was relatively niche

Are you implying it wasn't? Only Poles and PCfags knew about.

Good. Your hate and butthurt please us.

it was you dumb zoomer, witcher 2 was jank

"GOG sold 40,000 copies. Within the same time period, 200,000 copies of The Witcher 2 were sold on Steam. By May 2012, the game had sold1.7 millioncopies. By February 2013, the combined sales of the game and its predecessor exceeded 5 million."
Man that's niche as FUCK

>The Witcher (1) hits 1 million sales - CD Projekt RED's RPG surpasses milestone after 12 months on sale
>The Witcher 2 (released May 2011)
>The game was both a critical and commercial success, selling over 1.7 million copies by May 2012.
>MGS4
>According to Konami, the game shipped over 3 million units worldwide on the day of its release.

>relatively
You could just admit you were wrong.

Whats wrong with poland?

Damn bro how many copies does a game have to sell to not be niche? 20 million?

user, just stop digging.

What country are you from?

A country better than poolandia.

ftfo andrej

There's nothing to dig. It was a baseless comparison. The Witcher is an open world RPG that was only niche for the first game, and Metal Gear is an open world stealth game. We might as well compare BOTW to the Witcher next. Or maybe Far Cry 5.
RPG's are clearly much more popular than the stealth genre Metal Gear belongs to. RPG's are good business. That comparison again is baseless and just for shit posting.

He does. CD projekt red did wonders for the gaming scene in Poland back in the 90's and '00s.
Even if you don't count the games they've developed they are based.

"Your first million - you have to steal" - actual Polish proverb

Are you seriously gonna sit here and pretend that MGS was ever niche. It had a legacy. It was a household name.

Bro......

I didn't say it was niche. I said the RPG genre is clearly more popular, especially in the west. Are you seriously gonna sit here and compare those two games like they're related in any way beside being open world? You can pluck any fucking open world game and do that.

>The Witcher is an open world RPG
Only TW3 was open world.
>RPG's are clearly much more popular than the stealth genre Metal Gear belongs to.
Far Cry games are popular as fuck and TPP essentially copied FC3 in a lot of areas.

>only TW3 was open world
And the picture this whole thing stemmed from was talking about TW3 you clown. Far Cry isn't like Metal Gear. Where the fuck do you people come from?

>Far Cry isn't like Metal Gear.
But TPP is like Far Cry.
