Phoenix Point proves that ideas doesn't worth shit

Phoenix Point proves that ideas doesn't worth shit.

Completely forgot Phoenix Point was a thing; the only time I heard about it was the EGS exclusivity controversy, and then nothing. Whatever happened to it?

Is it good? I liked XCom 2, especially the global bleak atmosphere.

It's weird how they managed to make a worse UI with each itineration
>Whatever happened to it?
They released an early access disguised as a complete game and now they're trying to finish it before Steam release (and doesn't look like they'll do it in time)
Too janky and with big flaws. I didn't play since release, though.

It's an XCOM 2 clone. One difference is that rather than dice rolls for shots it picks a random point on the reticle and simulates a shot at that point. In practice what this means is that it's just the same as a dice roll though.

base management was boring as hell, weapons were kinda fun, enemies are horrible trash

If an XCom 2 clone means more XCom 2 that's pretty much all I want, especially after the shitshow that was Chimera Squad

you're better off playing gears tactics

Learn English, retard.

Nigger, it literally fixes XCOM 2 (and at the same time it manages to be a worse game)
>No pods
>Simulated ballistics
>Time units
>Geoscape isn't total shit

I mean, yeah, I guess. It's definitely pretty janky though.

One day we'll get a Warhammer Chaos Gate 2. Until then we'll have to deal with nothing but the XCOM franchise and its knockoffs.

The geoscape is shite, my dude. In both Phoenix Point and XCOM 2.

Gears 1 actually had that global bleak atmosphere I'm talking about, NuGears looks awful by comparison

well....Gears 1 isn't a turn based strategy game and Gears Tactics is.

>it literally fixes XCOM 2 (and at the same time it manages to be a worse game)
How can you think those two things at the same time? It proved that the critics of Xcom 2 were wrong all along

Fix your game, Solomon

They should of done a overhead vats system, not a manual aim
Fucking idiots

Alzheimer's

No we NEED to have simulated ballistics. Don't you understand that nu-COM sucks because it doesn't have simulated ballistics!?

That was how it worked in the alpha but they also needed free aim (for these situations when you need to shoot to the enviroment).
I think they could fix it just using a smaller zoom.

It's impossible to pull off in a 3D game because of idle animations

The ballistics were garbage, you have to step out of cover otherwise your bullets just collide with the shitty meshes everywhere
also the fish niggers MOVE during your firing sequence

Ugly game that's too short and buggy with very little variety in weapons, armor, etc. Thanfully there's tons of day 1 dlc packs you can buy to fix all that. How generous.

Assuming all of the bugs were fixed, is it a better X-COM 2?

In the end, he won

Giant enemy crabman

Like your English?

No.

Bullshit. You will never miss standing right next to the enemy for starters

It's just another of the mediocre 2012 nuXcom clones, objectively inferior in every way except graphics to both the original trilogy and specially Jagged Alliance 2, and did absolutely nothing to improve nor innovate a genre stagnated for decades (like pretty much every single other genre, sadly. Vidya is FAR too obsessed with graphics).

>tfw most innovative feature in recent TBT is fucking Gears horde rush

Phantom Brigade looks like they're trying to make something different.
