it is a pretty weak story, it's just that kojima is good at hiding it behind a thousand subplots which are somewhat intriguing
since it's weak, the big scene just doesn't work

I didnt mind Keifer in the role, but having him voice a damn near mute was pathetic and it totally destroyed the twist at the beginning having Ishmael have the same recognizable voice.

What do you guys think was supposed to happen? Was he supposed to give the speech while riding Sahelanthopus? All while Venom is trying to hide under boxes?

One thing to notice is the in the background, you can see the XOF soldiers burning the Russians and their stuff. My guess is it was originally supposed to have a more dramatic camera but last minute they figured a fully controllable camera would still achieve the same effect without more dev time and costs.
