as a guy who's been trying to slowly work my way into forming a band, i can say this. music isn't fucking easy to just make "higher quality." i can't come up with good basslines and riffs, but i can write lyrics and find tones that sound swell. the dude's got a band, and their bassist is also their producer, who does it for a living. naturally their style of music won't appeal to everyone. there's no amount of him endlessly pursuing music and only music that will give him the life he wants. im saying this as a guy in his mid twenties who took way too long to figure that out and leeched off his family for too long thinking talent means anything in this day and age. i guarantee if red vox takes off and he gets with a real label he'll quit streaming.
