Not even ports

>not even ports
>just threw an emulator and a ROM on a cartridge, slapped a $60 price tag on it, and called it a day

If ANY other company did this people would be fuming

Did you say node?

And yet we can't have a N64 Mini because "duhh its too complicated to emulate the games"

>literal discord tranny

>inject rom
>nintendo might just have given us the best emulation tools for switch
>free as in free beer
you just mad because you a dirty buyfag

Fuck off.

Nintendo would never throw together a lazy collection of emulated games for one of their biggest IPs.

Still buying 3D Allstars

people already started working with the gamecube emulator

good thing Nintendicksuckers aren't human then.

who gives a shit

>If ANY other company did this people would be fuming
Corporations do it with DOS games all the time. Hell, Square Enix did the same with Collection of Mana, despite having the source code for the games they got from Nintendo themselves.

probably because the hardware to run an n64 emulator is a little more expensive and would cut into their margins enough that they don't think its worth it.

what difference does this make to the player?

don't care, still pre-ordered

the future is bright

This is what bothers me the most. How hard would it be to just contact the VA and ask to record literally 5 new seconds of dialog. It sounds so off.

Don’t care. Still voting Trump.

Had a laugh

I don't understand why people weren't emulating them in the first place. Paying for re-releases sucks. I love FFVII But I never bought a remake, much more or less the PS4 to play it on.

Who cares, what difference does it make if they were ported

That would mean they actually gave a fuck about this compilation.

>I don't understand why people weren't emulating them in the first place
guess we are now

Bad example since the ps4 game is extremely different. The switch FF7 is an actual port

FF7 remake isn't a re-release. It's a sequel marketed as a remake

literally who cares? what difference does it make?

Can someone explain to me why burgers are so obsessed with the $60 pricetag? It's literally how much the average person gets paid making a coffee when they get to work
The game is $63 in Aus and that works out to be about $46 burger dollars

Don't care.
Still buying bing-bing-1up-yahoo-shine-get

AAAHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH OHHHHHH NONONONONONONOOOOO AAHAHHHHHHH *WHEEZE*
AAHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHGAG

Actually the Final Fantasy 7 that is on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One is also emulated

Less features, the games aren't making proper use of the better hardware, and development took tons of shortcuts to save money while still charging $60 for inferior versions of games that have been available for years. So as far as console players are concerned, no difference at all.

This is the kind of trash that consoles normalize. Nintendo is probably the worst offender, but they are not alone. These low quality remakes that get shit out every generation only exist to make you buy the same fucking game you already own repeatedly at inflated prices. Just as bad are the locked-down digital stores that are unashamedly emulator libraries that charge $10 per ROM every fucking generation. Then when support for the Switch is eventually dropped, they repeat the same cancerous practices for the next locked-down device.

Fuck consoles. PC doesn't have to worry about this dumb shit. Games 20 or 30 years ago can still run on modern hardware and OSes with little to not effort. Emulation is used as a tool to preserve older games from abandoned inferior hardware, not to resell you those games for 500% markup every eight years. Piracy and no-drm cracks essentially preserve games forever. The PC platform is vital for video game archival, and every game should have a definitive release on it for that reason alone if you give a fuck about playing these games that will become "classics" in another 20 years.

uhh user...

Yeah, Square Enix had lost the final and beta source code for the PSX version and the source code for the original PC port. They deserve a medal.

And what difference does it make to the game I will play. What's the benefit of porting instead of emulating

Based

>there are homebrew versions of sm64 that run at 1080p at 60 fps with wide screen support on the switch
>nintendo releases an inferior version of the game that runs on an emulator without 16:9 and still asks for money for it

man, it's funny when you think about it

>If ANY other company
How can you so blatantly pretend no one is mad about anything nintendo has or hasn't done

My point in general is if the game has already been released, there's no point to buying it again. The only game I've ever repurchased was Snake Eater on the 3DS and that was worth it for 3D. Framerate sucked, but the game was gorgeous.

People are fuming you absolute retard.

Why are people acting like this is a big deal? Every fucking collection that isn't straight up remakes is emulation.

To think that CodeFire had to make efforts to rescue the source code by themselves for two games while developing Sega Smash Pack for GBA because Sega gave them jack shit from the beginning. Thank God for emulators and better hardware.

It shows the absolute lack of effort put in.

Not that user. The modern Doom ports aren't emulation nor remakes.

Do yuros really call themselves NERD??
lol!
