Even some fucking shitty VR indie games have managed to balance teleportation in VR titles in a way that doesn't break traditional game design, but Valve has been stuck in their shitty bubble.

they just didn't put thought into it, teleport is fine if it is limited in some way. Every VR dev does this now, except valve.

Teleportation worked fine in Alyx, and seeing that webm makes me wanna replay it.
And ye, I don't get motion sick, I play Pavlov/contractors/VRC with smooth loco. And I have no problem flying in VRC either. So don't give me the grug motionsick argument
Hyperdash got limited teleport and it works fine in PvP.

How is it any different than just holding down sprint in any other game, considering how slow you move normally in HLA? Also the screen blinking thing other VR games with teleporting do is retarded since 90% of the time you're not actually teleporting. Its disorienting and I dont even get motion sick

The default speed is the speed that every normalfag can handle.

Valve are the idiots responsible for convincing everybody that VR is a vomit-fest and teleportation is LITERALLY the ONLY possible movement option.

Several of the people there never teleported as teleport==bad when playing the game.
Pure autism, nothing more, nothing less.

Teleporting is cancer but so is regular stick movement. The only movement that makes sense is real life room tracking but then you have issues with space and limited environment traversal. That's why we need brain link so we can move in our heads and feel it like it's real movement.

Teleporting is just the accessibility option for crippled people. Who cares that it's open to abuse by normal people, it's not a skill intensive game. Do you also complain about Easy Auto modes in action games?
