Yes and no.
I absolutely love it, but not more than DA2 and DAO. The combat is bad, characters are tumblr stereotypes, the story is pretty bad with a two dimensional disney villain, the quests are all looting, killing 10 boars, endless walking, etc. Enemies are sponges, it's very MMO like.
But it has redeeming features, some characters are 10/10, some of the writing is extremely poetic and good, most Corypheous, Cassandra, Mother Giselle, etc dialogues are top notch. Some romances like Cullen's and Cassandra are extremely sweet and wholesome.
There is also the fact that, even though the protagonist has the personality of a potato, you can be whatever you want. I am playing right now a religious lawful asshole, you can play an elf with their own religion being all shy and stupid (the most common one since everyone was obsessed with Daenerys Targaeryen when the game came out so everyone went for that), you can be a criminal dwarf trying to redeem himself, or just not give a shit about anything, etc etc.
I like it, but you need patience to finish it. I am replaying it right now and using a shitload of mods to make the combat fun and fast. The setting is also extremely good, a shame the open world is so poorly implemented because it had lots of potential. The DLCs are also top notch yet always forgotten, people praise Blood and Wine and stuff but Trespasser is REALLY good on the story, they completly redeemed themselves on the SJW woke mess the original game was with characters getting you, the mighty Inquisitor, to go with them to call an homophobic dad "homophobe!!!!!".

Still, it's better if you're playing as gay to sacrifice yourself.

DA2 is a weirdly mixed bag. On one hand, it's basically a DLC spin-off that was stretched out into a full game before EA blatantly rushed it out the door and cut chunks of story out of it to sell DLC. On the other hand, it's an interesting premise with good characters and a nice party dynamic. Stepping back from the usual save-the-world-story to follow a group of misfits just living their lives and trying to make it big in a really shitty fantasy city as the conflict around them slowly escalates.
I have a genuine soft spot for it, though I always play it on easy mode just to get through the grind-fest of endlessly recycled maps quicker, and I can see why people say it's a mess. Especially compared to Origins. But just judging it as its own thing, I still think it shows creative passion that Inquisition's big world didn't.

2. The game is already SUPER MEGA HYPER SJW. Why would you ADD EVEN MORE SJW STUFF by making the protagonist a feminist power fantasy of a female hero killing men and smashing the patriarchy? If you play as female, other women like Cassandra literally approach to you to praise you for being a woman and say "men suck".
3. Fashion, animations, dialogues, etc as female is shit. You're the leader of a military faction, not a kitchen show.

The only thing being an elf brings to the table is the Solas romance, which is awful. Drinking from the well is a HUGE NONO, you already have a fucking mark on your hand that closes rift, why wear a hat on a hat? Letting Morrigan drink and being tied to her mother is so much better.

You do realize Solas romance lasts 5 minutes, doesn't have a sex scene and Solas is only relevant at the beginning and very end of the game? Literally the only thing you find out if you romance him is Dalish marks are slave marks.
Cassandra and Cullen have a much longer romance, more content and more involvement to the plot, hell, Cassandra is literally the second in command to the inquisition, taking her EVERYWHERE is a must, meanwhile taking Solas anywhere is a bore.

As someone who played origins and loved it, should I really play 2 and Inquisition, the one thing I loved the most were the characters, dialogue and most of all the decisions which changed the ending, I can stomach recycled dungeons or shitty combat
