Sure, she's a surprisingly well handled character. It's a shame that most of her content is restricted to the new month but it's probably better for it overall, since it's more focused around her character arc and lets her events better reflect her relation to mandatory plot ones. I less want more of her and more want P6 to take the lessons learned from her.

Royal changed some aspects of the gameplay and made the dungeons a little more interesting but other than that there's not really too much. The third semester is interesting and I enjoyed it but I can't say that it's worth buying the game again.
If you haven't played the original then buy Royal.

I beat P5 vanilla 2 years ago and my buddy got me Royal for my birthday last week. I've been playing the shit out of it and with all the stuff they added it feels more like a new game+ than anything. Kasumi is cute and definitely worth it but you're locked out of the second half of her confidant for half the game. I would say wait for a good sale unless you're craving more Persona

Because they took an already pretty good game, fixed a lot of its bigger problems and added pretty much universally liked new content.
Reviewing re-releases and remasters is always hard, since there's different trains of thought on how to go about it. Do you review the work as a whole? Just the new stuff? Do you have to discount anything that was there initially? Do you review it as a new player or returning? I could go on, but you get the idea.

Probably not just for Yoshizawa but overall yes, especially if you liked P5. My main complaint with her was that you could only use her in the final palace rather then earlier. It would've at least been good to have her in Shidos Palace but it probably was too much work from them to change so they just couldn't be bothered.

There's also the fact that if she was around that frequently, it'd be much harder to make the twist around her name and identity work properly. That only works because the rest of the party don't really know her.
Her romance is easily the best paced, which is an advantage they had with her being a character introduced early, but heavily progress gated. Honestly it might be a good idea to make things work like her in the future, though not as aggressively.

Royal's also on a much more accessible system, the one that the majority of people played it on to begin with. Same with P3 versus FES. A big part of Golden's mixed reception among vanilla P4 players was it being stuck on the Vita for nearly a decade. Now that it's on PC, people have softened on it considerably.
Royal also being excellent probably doesn't hurt its reception though.

There's also the pretty reasonable in-universe argument to avoiding painting a target on her back with Shido. She wasn't already in his line of fire and there's no need to drag her in now. Though Sumire is the kind of girl that'd probably refuse to take no for an answer if not for other contrivances on the writers' part. But I can at least buy why they'd want to keep her out at that point.
