Once again “Another Medium” gets ignored
Do you think he really only started working on it a few months ago? Or was I misunderstanding what he was saying?
I also played it on release and then only played it again last year and it was like I was playing it for the first time
Toby's a wizard, he can make a game that I'm annoyed by but still love. The only other game I'm as hyped for as Deltarune is BotW 2, the followup to one of the biggest games made by one of the biggest and oldest players in the industry. Not bad for some guy with a copy of Fruity Loops and Gamemaker
What he's saying is that work on an actual executable file, the actual game, started a couple months ago. Up until then they were planning, writing scripts, getting everything realized as best as it can on paper as well as making assets. It wasn't until May that they decided to go back to Gamemaker so that's when Deltarune became more than a couple of folders on Toby's computer
Frankly it's not that big a deal, this might have put the project behind a few months, not years
You think this'll be one of those games that Zig Forums loves in 10 years but all the new kiddos won't understand the appeal for and will call it shit? Idk, I just can't see this game aging well.
It was great
I could see how some of the charm might be lost on kids who aren't experiencing the game with everyone else or if they go in with too high expectations, but I still hope most newcomers would find the game enjoyable.

The last musician that tried Pepper Steak crippled themselves for life. That OST is cursed as fuck.
hard to believe this shit started with earthbound rom hacks and now we have an actual symphony orchestra playing arrangements of the soundtrack. honestly the music is my favorite thing about undertale and i'm really in love with this performance. my favorite track so far is just the song undertale but i also like the boss battle theme of the fuckable spider
