It's out

It's out
I thought it was okay. Like the earlier parts of the game, it imitates the buildup of chivalry novels and their themes, with the dragon and his hordes representing the ideal of evil that a knight must surpass to become closer to god.
Sadly, it does kinda end there, and while I appreciate that it's telling the tale of a failed arisen, something we didn't see in the game, there is much value lost in not showing the final subversion that this universe inflicts on the ideals of chivalry : that anyone who would follow them to the bitter end would become as inhuman as the dragon.
Still, pawn was cute and it didn't outstay its welcome.
Could have been way worse.

>anime
It's shite.

Did they say it?

Thanks I probably wasn’t going to watch it for the shitty CGI but now I definitely won’t

nope

Fug

It's okay. I wasn't bothered by the animation for the most part (characters looked fine, monsters looked shit). Biggest problem was the pacing. Every episode felt too rushed for the story they were trying to tell, leading to some abrupt endings and character changes. Hannah was at least very cute and was probably the best part of the show.

Felt to me like they were setting up a second season, with this being the origin story of the villain of the second
Would explain the fast pacing of the story and the relatively barren world building, since that kind of story tends to be mostly character centric.
I'll be disappointed if we don't get a continuation, this setting has so much potential and the writers seem to understand it very well.

It's Netflix, so who knows. The anime seems to take place long before anything in the game.

doubt it has anything to do with temporality, the ring has infinite worlds

Wait, the description of Aernst Castle, which was destroyed in the anime
>The sad ruins of a dead castle stand to the west of the southern tip of Gransys. The work of the last dragon, that. Struck fifty years ago, and the land lias barren still...

this shit was awful

The last dragon would have been the one to make a deal with the Duke, it's likely just a different continuity

This. Nice one OP

WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS

I'm tempted to watch this just to hear David Lodge as the dragon again, is his voice just as good in this?

>he doesn't know

we're getting a Dragon's Dogma 2 announcement at TGA, right? with Itsuno's comments and the Netflix adaptation it certainly feels like it

Get out of here, user. Forget about the existence of this show now that you still can

Surely we will...

I googled it guys, wikipedia says he's in the show, he was perfect in the game. just tell me, I swear I won't bomb every netflix office...

I liked the dragon in that show, he had good lines

They added a fuckload of unnecessary filters over his voice

That's not the theme of the ending of Dragon's Dogma. You literally become the definition of what is ultimately the power of man. You're the ultimate creative force. You literally can craft other humans and define their traits.

APOLOGIZE

It's just another soft core porno that the producers dumped in their 3d processing anime machine. Completely indistinguishable from Knights of Sidonia or any of their other assembly line shows.

missing the forest for the trees

Is this shit worth watching? I did play the game but never finished it.

ALL I HEAR IS CLANG, CLANG, CLANG

Animation isn't that bad, user.

>we're getting a Dragon's Dogma 2 announcement at TGA, right?

Itsuno is showing off DMC5SE at TGS.

can they like.. stop making movies about video games
first the witcher and now this, cringe

why that style of 3d? really starting to piss me off

It's cheaper.

its a program like mlcad or photoshop that can crank out shows using 3d models and paint them to look like they are hand drawn. its chink magic.

Having another Pawn show how much Hannah has grown would have been great.

I thought it was kind of shit, focusing on the Arisen's character and the retarded 7 deadly sins motif meant it has no cohesive plot and it failed to capture the pure existential dread of the setting and how even ascending to godhood isn't an escape from the endless cycle of mundane existence because they cut out the Seneschal and such. How do you cut out the literal only part of the story that everyone liked from the original?

oh no it looks like I've become a liar and my mail bomb is waiting to be picked up by a courier.
I hope he doesn't treat the package too rough or I might be responsible for blowing up another van instead.

Watched it all. Wasn't good.
