it's so good that I'm convinced this is bait
Mystic Knight master race
It sucks ass
>ask Zig Forums for an opinion on game
>half posters say its the worst game ever
>other half say its the best game ever
Yes, but install the mod to decrease XP requirements so you don't hit the 'deal 1 damage every hit cause the enemy just so happens to have a defense stat higher than your attack stat' wall
It's like Zig Forums isn't one person.
People who say DD is bad have awful taste though.
this. game has filtered so many plebs.
Depends on what you want out of a game. A lot of anons enjoyed exploring and experimenting with the combat, while some anons thought it felt empty and that the combat wasn't coherent enough.
>half posters say its the worst game ever
>other half say its the best game ever
This really isn't true. From what I see, fans of the game either call it Capcom's "hidden gem" or the "best average game," while detractors just say it's massively overrated.
I'd definitely say it's a hidden gem.
Polarizing games are honestly a good sign that a game is ludkino.
It means that there's filters that rid the community of plebs. Games that pander to midwits and the common denominator are never good games.
DDON private server WHEN?
Just got it last night on sale, because i‘ve put it one day on my wishlist. What class is the most fun?
The anime is so middle-of-the-road and inoffensive. It's not outright bad and there are hints of soul in it, but good God is it lackluster.
i just bought it and made a loli but i got stuck at choosing a job
what class is easier for a beginner ?
i usually like to play healers or bards in rpgs
>combat designer for this working on FFXVI
You can switch vocations willy-nilly throughout your playthrough. Most of your power is derived from gear and not stats, so experiment with everything except Mage. Sorcerer gets fun nuke spells that can be chained together with Sorcerer Pawns, but Mage is just useless.
Lolo with great sword is always funny. Remember your character's body type and weight effects gameplay.
I'd say they're all fun. Play large swords if you like them, and magic if you like that, or archers. Early on there isn't really a best class, and later you get to experiment different mixes. Learn how to make and choose good pawns though. Inclinations are very important.
It's simultaneously good and terrible. It's clearly an unfinished game, but the base systems that it was built on are great.
>Lolo
loli*
also this game has some of the best looking magic spells in vidya
i didn't know about weight and body type would matter in the game that's pretty cool
Pretty much all the classes are fun, depending on what your playstyle is. The only worthless classes for the Arisen is Mage and Warrior. Mage is just a shitty sorcerer that can heal and buff, so its better to just play sorc and delegate healing to a pawn. Warrior is the only class in the game with 3 skills, rather than 6. Greatswords are also really shit weapons that only has 1 good move (jumping light attack be prepared to spam this move if you choose Warrior .
My personal favourite is Mystick Knight. They're tanky as fuck against both magic and physical. I also love the "a good defense is the best offense" playstyle of MK. Basically, they can buff their shield with an element. When you get a timed block on an attack, the shield explodes with massive elemental damage. If you like the "parry the world" playstyle, MK is for you. Its only downsides is that it has one of the worst stamina growths in the game, making it very inneffective at climbing monsters and hitting the weakpoint.
Of the melee classes (barring Assassin, ssince they have bows), they also have the most range to deal with flyers. Great Cannon lets you shoot magical balls at enemies, and Abyssal Anguish extends the length of your mace to Greatsword length.
Easily the most versatile class in the game.
They're also the sickest looking class in the game. Cloth+Plate is aesthetic as fuck
yeah like climbing is harder and harpies can't lift fatties easily but harpies will grab your loli easily
fuck yeah
yeah Mystic Knight is godly
beginner can honestly play anything and I remember going sword and board my first time
magick archer is op as fuck late game
Basically,
Large and tall characters have a better carry weight, allowing them to wear heavy armour and weapons without being overly encumbered by it. They also have larger hitboxes. The downside is that they have lower stamina recovery rates.
Thin and short characters have a lower carry weight maximum, making them extremely burdened by heavy armour and weapons.
The upside is that they have much higher stamina recovery speed and have small hitboxes. I think they also climb faster? Could be wrong about this.
Therefore, make tanky fighters large beefcakes so they can wear heavy armour.
Make mages small so they can regen stamina faster and spam more spells for the party.
The loli/shota mage paired with amazon wairriors isn't a meme. Small mages/Big fighters are actually an efficient choice
Once I experienced the mobility of strider I could never go back.
tall characters also run faster and short ones can't keep a lantern lit in wet places
DD can be a slog to get into. I love it now, but it really did not grip the first TWO times, maybe more, I gave it a shot. I only gave it another chance because Zig Forums loves it and I know alot of people who love it. So I sympathize with anons who say they don't like it.
I liked it immediately. It has one of the best tutorial sections in vidya.
>The randomized results of Bitterblack Isle weapon/armor purification.
I know you're supposed to be a certain vocation to get what you want, but this is still a waste of time. Probably my biggest beef with this awesome game.
I was really disappointed when I went for the magic knight and saw that I had to be a shilednigger and couldn't do sword and staff.
where do loli striders fall in this do we still get amazon mommies
