Daily reminder that Morrowind is the best RPG with the best lore, story, and setting of any game ever made

Daily reminder that Morrowind is the best RPG with the best lore, story, and setting of any game ever made.

How in the fuck did Todd go from Morrowind to fucking Fallout 76. Did he have nothing to do with Morrowind? Was he always a hack?

Best lore? Yes. Everything else, no. Playing it right now, one of my all time favorites, and by far my favorite TES game. However, it's simply not what you claim it to be. The problem with TES games after Morrowind (and by extension the Fallouts) is that they're progressively more action-oriented and getting lighter and lighter on the rpg elements. Morrowind was a solid mix of both. It was still dice roll mechanics for everything, but also felt action-oriented. Not sure what Todd's role is in modern Bethesda games.

Based fellow Morrowind player.

The only problem with Morrowund is after you’ve done a few play throughs you know where to go for god items like rings that will poison everything within 30 feet and just clear every single room in the game.
Wait 24 hours and the ring is ready to clear the next room/boss at deadra shrine

Really cool game though. Sometimes I keep op items out of my inventory to make it challenging.

The only issue with that is reflection(I guess you could drink cure poison potions) that some enemies have, most of the combat in Morrowind is preparation based, and doing broken shit is always fun. Cliff racers are the worst part of the combat parts for me.

Yeah it's crazy how fast you can become OP. You don't even need to look for anything. Just making your own CE enchantments trivializes nearly everything, especially Restore Health/Fatigue, Levitation, and Invisibility.
I'm currently level 35 High Elf/Atronach mage and reflect is the only thing that kills me. There isn't much you can really do about it either other than boost res of spell type you're about to use. Kind of bullshit it's unaffected by Spell Absorption but I guess they have to have something that can kill you when you get OP so the combat isn't completely trivialized.

I usually play melee, currently weaving together different mods and testing(not using Rebirth), my vanilla playthrough had my character reach lvl 50(from lvl 13) with over 550 based hp by paying trainers for lvl ups. So I don't really suffer the reflect issues and I carry enough get the fuck out scrolls and cure para for no death.

Sorry should have added on, a slow acting poison damage spell would save you on deaths since you can cure it via menu, when I went Atronach mage I used those temple shrines like crazy haha.

the main quest has to be the most annoying shit ever, it legit makes me not want to play it

I felt like I missed a lot of the main quest because I later found out I had too much Reputation.

Almost every side quest is a fetch quest, too many escort missions.

I can agree on the escort missions part, but you can get around a good amount of them with silt striders. I think the most fetch quests were from Mage's guild or Vivec(fuck Vivec though).

They’re just “get this” or “get that.” There’s no problem solving. Like this murder quest. They built up intrigue like “whoa dude the murderer killed TWO ordinators bro.” When it’s just some crazy bitch with a drain fatigue dagger. At least the lore and main quest make up for it. I spend lots of time just reading.

>How in the fuck did Todd go from Morrowind
Todd pushed normiefication from the very start, thank Kirkbride and Rolston and other people for weird lore.

OMG SUCH AN AMAZING RPG!!!!

Seyda Neen did the murder quest better, a good amount of players probably didn't do it out of greed anyways.

>Imagine helping Fargoth

Yeah it did, and I actually felt mixed about killing the murderer or sparing him.

I straight up killed him, the clothes and jewelry he complains about the taxman were gifts from his lover.

literally babbies first rpg
tell me how great it is to talk to 95% of npcs in this game and talk about rumors that is the same regurgitated line
play more games

I tried to get into it but i got filtered by the combat system.

Need help with that?

imagine being this autist

is pretty funny too because of the post under it.

Gothic 2 is miles better

The game does have quests where npc or their allies will get hostile if you decide to keep their stuff and never talk to them again.

I haven't given Gothic 2 a play yet(t. Mutt). So what's the best way to experience it atm?

Sure.
My main problem is how every attacks keep missing, i pass more time in a fight missing attacks that anything else.
Maybe i'm just bad or did something wrong.

It just proves that Morrowind was never good and people are just pretending to like it to be contrarians.

First install the system pack to make it playable.
Then you can get some graphic mods but I'd recommend you to play it with the original graphics.

here's the tip to mastering morrowindfu
>see which weapon skill is your highest
>get a weapon of that type
>go to options
>check 'always use best attack'
>charge your swings
congrats you won

There's a few basic pointers
>Manage your stam well, play Imperial with start of the west power, carry vigor scrolls(from the shop in Seyda Neen, or get restore stam potions(you can get alot from Equipment chest in the fighter's guild)
>make sure the weapon you're using, you are Majored in bonus points for racial favored weapon
>If you wanna hit more often choose Luck and Agi as your classes' favored stats and go Warrior or Lover Star sign

Bethesda's Fallouts are for normoids. Elder Scrolls is for actual gamers.

Forgot to add on
>Hold left click, don't spam it covered that as well as always use best attacks.

todd is a boomer. simple as that.
he doesn't want to play video games anymore, he just wants to grill, thus his games have become all about instant gratification rather than character development and exploration.

>play imperial
nigger just play a nigger
adrenaline is busted and allows you to pulverize literally everything no matter how shit your equipment is

Adrenaline is surpassed by drinking tons of sujamma. Imperial has a unique spell and saves money on persuasion.

When you see somebody casts sanctuary (pale green shit) on himself just run. You won't hit them.

>knowyourmeme filename
witcherkiddies are just embarrassing.

it alright
