anyone else get a really good ending by accident? >after silently taking out all the bad guys at the party i choose to save the diplomats >so after saving everyone i was able to go and face the big bad ARC guy >if i could do both things in one playthrough whats the point of giving me the choice between the two? >was i meant to be able to save both the building of people from exploding aswell as the diplomats or did i do something special i wasnt aware of (was taking out the baddies at the party the bit that allowed me to do both?) >but great part was somehow i also ended up accidentily knocking out the end boss with my emp pistol
Uninstalled after I failed the first mission because I was busy exploring the office building you start in.
Luke Allen
I don't remember much of the ending because it wasn't much of one. I really enjoyed the game up until then though. Shame we will never see what they had in store for a sequel which probably would hook into the first game.
Gavin Clark
Whether or not you can save the diplomats AND save the buildings depend only on how quick you are, if you take too long doing either Marchenko will detonate the bombs. Taking out the bad guys at the party just ensures that they don't start shooting the civvies, or atleast I think so. I've never really tried to NOT take them out, because it's so much fucking fun to stealthily kick their asses while avoiding attention from the crowd.

Wasn't there that theory going around that Adam in MD was a clone of Adam from HR? I would've loved to have seen that expanded on.
Isaac Clark
It was pretty much confirmed honestly, you can find the original Adams corpse cryogenically preserved in the VersaLife vault.
Kevin Bennett
Wait really? Damn I need to give MD a replay
Chase Thomas
I hated the ending because it basically confirmed that MD Jensen is not HR Jensen, MD Jensen was like completely disconnected mentally from all kinds of shit and got a bunch of fake memories planted into his head.
Mankind Divided is not canon to me.
Xavier Foster
It's unclear if the player character is a clone or the legit Jensen. But the ones in the vault are clones. I don't think that memory implantation was advanced enough at that point.
Ayden Diaz
Must have accidentally and skillfully got the best ending. I remember my gf playing Heavy Rain and accidentally avoiding the whole sequence of Maddison being drugged and somehow finishing the game with everyone alive. I love stuff like that in games. It feels meaningful. Mankind Divided is great although a little rushed,
Otherwise you are only really supposed to be able to see it if you press your face up against the glass and use your special eye augmentation thing, the wallhack one, not sure what it's called in-game.
Connor Jones
Man I really don't wanna piss on anybody but why would they grow a dead clone with visibly removed augmentations then prop it up in a VersaLife vault?
Lucas Wright
yea that MD could have been longer, cuz i didnt realize for a while into the last mission that it was THE LAST ONE
Adrian Watson
yup.
md jensen is an illuminati clone implanted with hr jensen's modified memory to find out the identity of janus.
i was so underwhelmed. ma boy got done in because some writer wanted him dead.
the BLM allegory is also really lame. md is non canon and is so bad it killed the IP.
Alexander Perez
its one hell of a confidence boost knowing now that it was all because i accidentily was fast enough
jensen doesnt need neuropozyne. his corpse still has some value.
they put that sidequest in for a reason and anyway, wouldnt it be easier for a mind to accept memories that are your own?
Josiah Gray
I never understood if MD was set after the ending of HR or before the ending of HR
Chase Hernandez
If you do the cultists instead of the bank heist you can stop the bomb from detonating.
Christopher Ward
op here, did it piss anyone else off that jensen had seen pleanty of times that the orchid was totally in the wine that the diplomats were gonna drink (he saw all the guys dead from drinking it at the facility where marchenko injected him with the orchid; aswell as computer entries alluding to the wine being poisined at said facility) yet he did nothing about it (least he did nothing about it in my playthrough)
was quite the shock for me too, wonder how the next game will be. hope itll be longer
William Perry
If MD Jensen is indeed a clone, then it took place afterwards. If MD Jensen is NOT a clone, then some McGuffin shenanigans took place after Darrow subverted the 'psycho signal', or HR just abruptly ended there. Is there any mention of the Panchaea facility in MD?
Dylan Hall
theres a sidequest to investigate the mystery augs where jensen talks to sarif about him being in a coma over there, and about if the doctor there had done the new augs he has in MD
Joseph Robinson
wish they wouldn't have done that
Charles Walker
The whole game is based on the idea that augs were discriminated against due to the events of the previous game; you'd have to be mental to not see it's a sequel
James Torres
jensen doesn't notice anything the player notices, it's pretty grating
Gabriel Perry
guess the whole getting blown up and shot constantly took a bit of a toll on his iq
Dude. is correct. MD blends elements of the HR endings together, but it's mentioned many times that augmented people are treated like shit because they went spastic during Panchea event and killed a lot of innocent people. Also called the "Aug incident". Like, you have to deliberately not listen to any dialogue and skip all the text to miss that.
HR has a really nice hub, though I find there is a lack of situations were you make use of offensive augs. Every other passive aug finds plenty of use. Is there any talk at all about a sequel? Is Jim Miller gay?
