6 or 7 All Touhou games have a more or less isolated plot so you could start with any of them, but 6-7 are classics, contain many important characters and recognizable songs, and are a bit less optimized than later entries, so they feel better if you play them before the rest.

I always waste bombs and get fucked over by youmu's bullet time slash. It feels weird to get frozen and I always position myself awkwardly before hand and misjudge where I'm reading one of the bullets paths. I'll persevere, this is the last hurdle impeding my 1cc since I can do yuyuko pretty well.
Some of the mid fight cards are easy to learn, work on them so you can use bombs on the others

Ah, oh well getting a naked 1cc like that is still a great feeling regardless, final spell capture or not. Lunatic Shinmyoumaru is learnable but for someone like me I have to really practice her spells a lot. I think I have something like 120 attempts in spell practice before I felt comfortable dealing with something like Shining Needle Sword. I could just bomb but I've had some runs die around stage 6 where I ran out before the end (probably doing something wrong in stage 4 and 5), so ideally I'd like to avoid that by actually learning her fight a bit more. Definitely close to the 1cc, though.
Thats pretty much how my first flandre clear was, just decided to randomly play after fucking months then 1cc. With IN it was second try, IN is too easy.
Some of China's attacks are really hard to dodge, don't be afraid to bomb.

Wait as much as possible then bomb You shouln't rely on deathbombing in the first place, besides the 2 bomb penalty can really fuck you up esp when wasted on a shit one like Alice
