>First computer was my dad's old Macintosh (2 si, I think)

>He'd put a bunch of games on some while out and bring them back home for me to play with
>Got to play stuff like Civilization 1, Prince of Persia 2, and Dome wars when I was 4-5 years old
Civilization was hard when I wasn't even in kindergarten, though.

I'm trying to think of an old game I played a few times but never got far in. I think it was a 2-d roguelike RPG where enemies moved every time you did.
It had color, and very simple sprites that I think were contained in boxes. Forget if you could see the grid. You started off in a meadowy, mountainous region from what I recall, and it was also punishingly difficult. Pretty sure some of the first enemies were goddamn bunnies and they could still kick your ass.
Looking for a somewhat similar game that I played in DOS as my aunts house.
Turn based rogue like where you had to point you sword in the right direction.
Did you use default player sprites or did you download a sprite pack? I used a bunch of Last Blade/SamSho characters.
I actually started playing adventure quest again to get to the level cap. Comfy times

I love these type of games. I even bought the Mystery Dungeon games just because of how much fun I have with the genre.
Based, that was one of my favorite games when I was like 8 or 9
