For a given amount of bandwidth, component. RGB has technical superiority, but doesn't do significantly better with the amount of data it pushes.

RGB has no noticable difference against component for most. Hell, most people have to get close to see between component and S-video.
Don't know about elsewhere, but component was actually used in USA outside of commercial equipment, which makes it the best choice for analog output here.

component has red/green/blue for HD video and an additional red+white for stereo sound (or toslink for digital audio)
