>3rd worse selling Zelda ever
>Lowest rated 3D Zelda ever
Was it really that bad?
I would like to try it again with the motion plus controls removed. Twilight Princess was better on GameCube and WiiU, have to imagine SS will be better when you aren't dealing with the tedious motion controls.
yep, it's bad
yes but not as bad as BOTW
My three problems
1. Way too linear of level design as a whole
2. No skip button for Fi
3. Too much faith in their motion controls
Linear design was doable given the story even though Wii limitations did show, motion controls weren't AS bad with motion + which gets a lot of shit. Not being able to skip Fi dialogue was a penalty though.
Was it that bad? No. Is it deserving of being the lowest rated 3D Zelda? Yes.
At least it's better than Wind Waker.
Yes
i never got past the first area. i still have my copy but after all these years i've never had the urge to play it after that initial "this sucks".
I liked it, it's definitely more memorable than twilight princess
my only problem with it was the lack of things to do in the overworld and repeated boss
retard
Rent free & seething MM cuck
It sold lower than average because you had to buy a Wii Motion Plus peripheral alongside it. It was more expensive than a normal game. Had very little if anything to do with the quality of the game itself.
lmfao seethe harder faggot, but i'm truly sorry that your zoomer brain lacks the attention span to enjoy a good zelda game with real dungeons, have fun climbing ubisoft towers
absolutely
OoT didn't need a prequel let alone one with such an awful story
It's no masterpiece.
I liked it a lot
its the only zelda game id actually say is bad
If you're just talking about SS I could understand, but what kind of fat retard fuck would you have to be to find the motion controls in TP tedious?
>story
fucking hell I can't stand you storyfags and your "timeline"
>Had very little if anything to do with the quality of the game itself.
Yeah I'm sure it's just coincidence that the Zelda with extremely poor consumer reception just happened to sell less than the positively received ones.
even taken as a standalone game SS's story sucks ass
It was alright, worth one playthrough every ten years maybe. It broke the Zelda cycle IMO though. TP and BOTW are both better.
No mainline Zelda title is bad. It is the worst Zelda game though.
However, I do respect Skyward Sword for at least being honest about how linear it was. It never tries to trick you into believing it's an open exploration type game, it's thoroughly sincere about the fact that it's constantly going to gate you.
and?
the story doesn't even matter
I didn't get this because of the motion controls. Fuck motion controls.
I thought they were good in this
You have to admit this was a pretty kick ass boss. Actually kinda challenging and paid no mind to the typical three and out style of most Zelda bosses.
Yes.
>the story doesn't even matter
Confirmed retard. SS turns the Zelda-Link partnership on its ass.
like I said, you storyfags are the worst
ok
>story doesn't matter in a linear story-driven game
brainlet take
it was so bad
You have to literally jerk the controller off to swing the sword
Koloktos is good, but he's not as good as kino monk.
>story-driven game
>paying for that embarrassing season pass just to get a boss that isn't a copy-paste job
cmon nigger, have some self respect
>itt Zig Forums stay's mad about wagglin and shows that they still can't adapt to new controls.
Best characters, best puzzles, debatably best atmosphere. The rest is fair criticism.
That was good. If only the rest of the bosses were unique. BOTW is way better than TP, but it did disappoint more in some regards.
Reminder that both SS and BotW are ass at each others' strengths.
It's a serious fucking overcorrection.
I'll gladly pay up if it's for a boss that outranks every boss in the series.
Skyward Sword still feel like Zelda unlike BOTW
