You had one job!

Crysis Remastered STILL isn't optimized for multi-core CPUs! Look at this screenshot, the GPU usage is at fucking 58% and ONE CPU core at 97%.

YOU HAD ONE JOB CRYTEK!

lmao 14 years later we still can't run crysis!

This is on an Intel i9 9900K and NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti, by the way.

Gotta keep tradition going

>Our game is horribly optimized no computer can run it well! Can it run Crysis, guys? Remember that? Buy our game pls

Why do people care about this shit game?

>2020
>people still don’t realise that crytek is full of talentless hacks
There’s a reason why they are almost bankrupt now

>Crysis Remastered STILL isn't optimized for multi-core
It is, it load balances across 4 cores now.

I just played through Assault back to back in the remaster and the 07 version and the remaster was substantially more performant, especially in the dock section where 07 was having constant microstutters due to resource contention between all the AI and physics hammering the one core.

>the GPU usage is at fucking 58% and ONE CPU core at 97%.
Because he's using the very high preset which gives shadows unlimited draw distance and absolutely hammers the main rendering thread, bear in mind low-medium settings in the remaster are equivalent or better than max in the original.

>port is outsourced to SABER interactive
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

That is load balanced.

It's just to get you to buy the next GoyPU.

It's a 4 core game. This is an 8 core CPU. It is attempting to distribute the game across the cores. Every single core here is doing a significant amount of work, but the CPU cannot exceed 50% utilization. Because it's a 4 core game. I mean, it's a 3 core game, to be really technical because its engine was written for 3 cores, but it makes use of 4.

If you want faster performance drop vegetation draw distance and ray tracing and things like that, because those are a huge CPU hog, and again I remind you this game is designed for 4 cores.

You don't see people claiming that Crysis 2 is "not optimized for multi-core CPUs".

It's intended since the target audience is drooling retards who will advertise for free their latest gwaphix card and how it handles the game. That's the whole point of the can it run crysis mode.

It also looks worse than the original.

nice Far Cry screenshot

it's a classic example of higher quality assets =/= a more visually appealing game. The original had a consistent art style that still holds up today, but the remaster is all over the place. They slapped high quality textures on everything and added global illumination, but it completely fucked the style.

Literally the only reason this game exists is to make an unoptimised shitheap that they hope will serve as a new benchmark for PCs.

>DX11

bruh.....

Imagine pretending this screenshot is of the unmodded original. WE ALL KNOW THE DRAW DISTANCE OF THE BARRELS ON THE PIER IN VANILLA.

All Crytek games are DX11. Hunt, too.

at 1080p fuck
is there raytracing?

why the fuck does it matter if it's modded? the fact you can make the original game look better with 5 mins of CFG tweaking and downloading a texture mod makes the "remaster" seem like a joke.

Original 2007 release with custom config from 2008

are you retarded? you do realize "Optimizations" literally means dumbing down a games graphics because hardware cant support it right? thats literally what it is

i.e. altered, or modded in other words. Cool story bro.

Chaning a few values in an .ini is not modding, the game shipped like this with no extra files added.

These are in dx9 mode btw, getting silky smooth 70 FPS on a gtx 1080

It goes into the hundreds at my native res 1440p

Optimized means using your hardware at 100% you fucking moron

Thia doesn't do that

No, optimised is just cost:benefit within prescribed bounds. It has nothing to do with using 100% of anything.
Those prescribed bounds will change the optimal strategy.
