I really liked how you could connect almost every move together in that game.

The original game was great for its time.
However there were things they should have added to modernise it for the All Stars re-release; namely: increase render distance for objects like coins, enemies, etc.; patch in widescreen support; and chiefly, ANALOGUE CAMERA CONTROL.

It also would have been nice to get a source-port rather than the game being emulated because there's input lag and visual glitches.

He means it controls like garbage, which it does. Pretty much every 3D game from that era does.

Having said that, I remember Jumping Flash controlling quite well, but I could be totally wrong about that so don't blow a gasket if its garbage as well.

Tomb Raider still controls "well" but that's only because its rigid grid system is easy to understand and work around within its limitations, but I wouldn't say it has fun or good controls because its basically a 3D Prince of Persia.

This nigga got it right. It controls fine, it's the camera that fucks everything up. 50 stars in and I still can't get it to do what I want.

Also having it make the wheeeeee whooooo sounds everytime you alter the camera is annoying as fuck.

Since playing it again I think it controls like shit, is frustrating as hell but then I remember that 12 year old me had no fucking problems playing it and I'm just old and shit now....

There's nothing wrong with expecting a remaster to be polished up for modern sensibilities. Nintendo are the ones who fucked up here.

If you change the movement mechanics, people cry that the remaster isn't true to originals, but a casualized mess instead.

How about an option to select control method?

Analog stick at the time had 8 directions, wasnt exactly a full circle.
Camera was controlled with the C buttons. 4 buttons.
So it's pretty janky.

Other than that, it was new territory. A proper modern day controller could easily make this game a 10.

All the other hate for this game is arbitrary over reacting bullshit. The game is fun.
