5 years of development and counting for this??
5 years of development and counting for this??
what youtuber is this?
what game is that? tactical turnbased ?
Is this the new Xenonauts? Looks fun.
xenonauts 2? looks fine graphics wise. i just hope they added is some of the missing shit that wasnt there in the first game to make it more like xcom.
xenonauts 2 came out?
Not even in early access. I think they'll release a new closed beta this month.
So far it seems Xeno1 but in 3D and with more polish. At this point is better than the first one and they're making the Geoscape more engaging. But it's more of the same.
Nothing wrong with retexturing a piece of the environment and using it in a different situation / place.
It looks identical to Xenonauts 1 which already looked rather bland
This.
Unlike Nintendo, Game Freak, etc. this actually is a small team of indie developers.
This.
That should appear in the dictionary as the textbook definition of cherrypicking, congrats.
why can't they just take fucking unrealengine or some working shit?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO A GAME COMING OUT RECENTLY DOESN'T HAVE A BILLION POLYGONS AND ULTRA HD UNCOMPRESSED TEXTURES!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL TAKE LESS THAN 100GB OF DISK SPACE NOOOOOOOOO FUCKING GARBAGE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!! IT LITERALLY HURTS MY EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why? So their game runs like shit and looks like every other unity3D game in existence? What would that even add to the game?
Depends on what it is. In this case it's a rock so who gives a shit? Unless someone's a seriously fucking autistic geologist who throws a tantrum they're not going to give a shit because they're just rocks. Now if they did shit liked recolor adobe buildings and slapped them in an arctic battlescape or threw office buildings on a farm battlescape then yeah that'd be dumb.
I thought Xenonauts 2 was using Unity
It is.
retard comment
enjoy your development for another 50 years
I tend to not worry about games until they are actually released. So I'll live quite happily.
Explain how switching over to Unreal would make a difference you dimwitted shit.
It's actually reminding me of Jagged Alliance 2 for some reason. Less soul though. Needs non-generic portraits.
The brain's kinda neat.
>it keeps happening
Looks like Xenonauts
damn if this is the best critique people can come up with then xenonauts is looking based
xcom is FINISHED
Whats with v and graphics lately, obv they spent that time in other places and they should be lauded for that instead of investing in muh graphics
Besides the muhgraphics posters, I dig the aesthetics. It looks like some of these old isometric PC games,
Xenonauts always looks so bland and generic. I get that they're going for more of a realistic look, and I'm no fan of XCOM2 going off the rails in stylization, but Xenonauts could at least do something to be interesting.
bump
It's just a lack of variety in their art assets. Eg trees are trees, but they could have had a few rare models here and there, like weird trees or dead trees or big trees that take up more than 1 square.
So is this ever coming out?
