I still get my dopamine hits from PUBG and TF2
but it's been a long time since a single-player game felt "rewarding" to me. I'm just too jaded and cynical to enjoy them.
At least I can enjoy dominating other human players in multiplayer games.

This here. Not only is nothing exciting, because it is SJW trash, I just don't have time to play. I work a fulltime career plus have a couple businesses and two young kids. I never thought I would ever feel apathetic towards games, but here I am feeling like I am wasting time if I play a game. The last game I looked forward to was Titanfall 2. Every other game has become pozzed beyond belief. This is coming from someone's basement that looks like a gaming museum along with a LAN center too. I have thought about selling all the collectibles off. I have been stocking up on guns and ammo lately.

New Crash looks good. Hoping for Tony Hawks DLC. Horizon Zero Dawn was unexpectedly ok, so the sequel should be good. Lost all enthusiasm with Cyberpunk, every new story is about cut content, it's coming off as more No Man's Sky than anything else.

your late 20s is a time of realization. all your dreams are dashed and you realize you are just some regular guy. Your first aches and pains start showing up and you feel like the world which had something in mind for you has simply discarded you.
30 is acceptance. you then simply live day to day enjoying the little things while waiting to die
