The majority of studies on the topic seem to indicate there is no connection between video games and long term aggression, let alone violent tendencies.
The ones that indicated short term aggression basically fit the same structure as doing anything competitive.

It HAS, but video game devs get away with it on a technicality. They pay a lot of people off in order to not study this, kind of like how you're not allowed to study the causation between race and IQ.
Not only do video games make you more violent, I also believe they make you more intrinsically hedonistic and nihilistic. Of course the internet is to blame for this too, but let's not sit there and pretend like video games aren't rotting away the minds of kids nowadays. They are. It's up to us to stop the next generation of kids from growing up braindead.

You have to understand that it's mostly people that don't play videogames, and the connection can be visible and simple at first, something along the lines of "This videogame is violent, therefore it encourages people to be violent", and this sort of thing already applies to things such as fetishes ("This cartoon had a certain scene or two, now it makes my willy tickle"), but weirdly enough it doesn't happen, people learn to distinguish what is allowed in the virtual world and what is acceptable in real life, people don't feel for a random enemy NPC, while they would still feel a lot over an actual IRL opponent.
If anything they should really monitor what's allowed on TV, Willy Wonka literally created the blueberry inflation fetish and Disney was likely responsible for a lot of furries, Totally Spies was literally a fetish show and nowadays there's some seriously disgusting shit shown on TV like a fart-sniffing fairy or two characters drinking shit juice
