How would it feel to upgrade to this monitor along with the 3070 and probably 4th gen Ryzen?

>ultrawide AND curved
Overdosing on gimmick shit nobody needs.
You say that as if you widely see one without the other and that's some sort of surprise
>VA
do you like black smearing and ghosting
>1440p
stopgap monitor resolution. 4k is the new standard, like 1080p it will last you 10 or so years
will feel like wasting your money
>Xiaomi
Does this also steal your data?
.sent from a redmi phone
>144hz
>VA Panel
I would read reviews extensively before buying because odds are that thing will not look nice at high refresh rates compared to an equivalent price IPS. Black smearing and ghosting are real concerns.
That said ultrawide 1440p is really nice. Got one for work when my office moved to working from home because the company had a fund for employees to outfit their homes for work from and paid for half of it, and I do not regret it.
I forgot to add, I'd be upgrading from a 1080p/60hz/22inch BenQ. This monitor is the most budget friendly I've found for 1440p/144hz.
Retard.
My friend had a monitor like that which in he 165hz, but soon ended up having to seuce grant thewops regretted buying
Is a Ultrawide monitor better than dual monitors?
Ah, if budget is a concern I can see why you went for a va.

If you check out their recommended lists it might help you find other good budget options.
As someone who had an ultrawide, avoid if you primarily use for games.
Lots of games bug out in 21:9 and dont support the ratio with the hud properly. You will encounter problems in lots of pre 2015 games too.
144hz/1440p will be a massive jump, especially from a 22inch monitor
>but soon ended up having to seuce grant thewops regretted buying
I see.
Depends on your use case honestly. If you want to have a second monitor to keep spotify/discord/youtube open on the side then having another monitor all together is nice, as it is for if you want a second monitor to be able to have one vertical for reading/coding/etc. while working on other stuff on the horizontal one. An ultrawide is still great for productivity though and if you play games windowed is about the same for keeping other stuff open alongside it.
If you want to play games in ultrawide though then don't get two monitors as the bezels will invariably look off and take up the middle of the picture, an ultrawide is just better for that.
Easily in terms of quality, ease to setup and resource use
>Lots of games bug out in 21:9 and dont support the ratio with the hud properly.
surely you can just play in 16:9 with borders then? or do they break while trying to do that too?
> not 1080p
Imagine buying anything higher.
1080p is a good goy resolution - there never has been any need to go above 640x480 but you fell for it.
1080p is good but the higher you go the less ugly AA you have to use which is a big boon for image quality.
Playing at native 4k basically eliminates jaggies and is much better looking than TAA oslr MSAA even. 1440p is a notable improvement too and can let you go for 2x instead of 4x in many cases.
>He fell for the VGA meme
You realise CGA supports all 16 different colours at once now, zoomer?
Now you are being retarded anons as you know as well as I do 256bit gives full coverage of srgb which is based on human vision.
It would look good, but it would feel hollow, like most purchases.
So I've been thinking about getting a tv for gayming. Are there even any non smart tvs availabe? I really don't see a reason why my piece of shit tv needs to connect to the internet or needs to have a microphone.
Would feel like wasted money.
It sounds like it's a pain in the ass to get games looking properly on ultrawide. I assumed DMC5 would support it officially, but it turns out I'd have to mod it. I might just looks for a regular 1440p/144hz.
Why is "curved" a thing? Does it help? Does it distract? Is it snake oil?
>black smearing and ghosting
learn to use your montors settings. black frame insertion, gamma, and knowing which overdrive mode works for which content. Literally never have smearing or ghosting anymore and get that sick VA contrast.
>300nits
>85% NTSC colours
wtf am i reading, this is straight up fake chink magic
Get 240hz if youre buying a 3000 card
>srgb which is based on human vision
It's based on the common hardware that existed at the time. sRGB gamut is much lower than humans can perceive.
Price?
It is curved because otherwise the farthest points would be further away from your eyes than the centre. The idea behind ultrawide is human your peripheral vision is significantly larger than your vertical vision space.
7 livers of Uyghurs, 3 incinerated Tibetan monks and all the American manufacturing secrets.
depends on the monitor. VA traditionally has bad viewing angles so its necessary in 27" screens and up to avoid washed out colours at the edges of the screen. Bigger displays also benefit from it because you have to do less eye tracking
>It is curved because otherwise the farthest points would be further away from your eyes than the centre.
That has never been a problem for me, or am i just using too small monitors for it to be noticed?
I heard the LG OLED TV with 4k and 120fps is pretty good. Anyone tried it? It has GSync and Freesync.
Well it only applies realistically to ultrawide screens - at typical monitor sizes (so 21"-27") and 4:3 or 16:9 the screen isn't big enough - namely wide enough - for the issue to arise. Suddenly bolting on half again the width of your current screen to the side(s) makes a huge difference.
For ultrawide you'll want at least a 3080. I have one with a 2080ti and you get FPS dips in more demanding/badly optimised games.
