One Piece hasn't been good since Skypeia ended.
It's extremely repetitive, the art is cluttered and an ugly mess, the pacing is atrocious and the characters have stagnated.

I only keep up with One Piece just to see hot babes that get introduced
Water seven was nice and enies lobby was also interesting
I cant wait until wano ends though, its so boring and shit
Water 7 and Enies Lobby are the best parts though?
Skypiea's pacing was awful what are you talking about. Great beginning in jaya, and great ending. But that endless shit in the middle with the absolute lamest villain gang in the series (not counting Enel) fucking kills it. Water 7 is peak One Piece.
Everything before the time skip is kino.
Dressrosa would have been just as as good would it not have been fucked by the pacing.
There's some key stuff that could save Dressrosa:
1.) - Greatly reduce the length of the birdcage part. Don't introduce new time wasting bullshit like the Nutcrackers.
2.) - Don't make Doflamingo into a fucking brick wall guy. Make him an actual puppet master type who needs to manipulate people to fight. Why was there no scene of him making some of the straw hats fight each other? Also cut everything with that second headless Doflamingo that was made of string. It wasn't cool and it only served to make shit longer.
3.) Similarly, Luffy should've been turned into a toy by Sugar at some point. The temporary ramifications would be crazy. Instead only Robin is turned into a toy, and the only result is that Usopp gets scared because he thinks he's alone. (I remember most people didn't actually understand this and thought Oda had undone character growth)
4.) - Establish a reason that they need to scare Sugar and why they can't just drop a fucking anvil on her head. I know the payoff is worth it, but considering the danger she poses it's a bit too hard to suspend my disbelief for this one.
The only arc I haven’t enjoyed has been Dressrosa and it’s mostly because of how long it dragged on and Doflamingo being a disappointing villain for all the build up.
This game would have been great if they’d just bothered to make all the Strawhats playable. Why is it they can’t get One Piece games to be fun anymore?
Only good OP games are the fucking Musous and even PW4 feels worse than PW3. Not to mention the DLC is hit or miss. Next pack looks great but I have no fucking interest in Kiku or Oden
Skypiea told everything One Piece wanted to express about adventure. Then Water 7/Ennies Lobby did the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid thing but made everyone live against all odds, a wonderful story about the one time everything went flawlessly for some lousy pirates. Which incidentally is the same story G8 tells, and that's technically Skypiea territory, so OP is right.
I miss him.
I hate that DBF always gets overlooked in the games. Foxy is a fun villain. Great personality and powers, and the whole arc is full of good moments like this
Recent reader reporting, Skypeia was where One Piece got good. My favorite arc was Thriller Bark
I have like 3 problems total
>Impel Down was kinda rushed (Might have been a good thing)
>Dressrosa was kinda drawn out
>A new nakama between Brook and Jinbei would have been nice.
dressrosa was horrible and yet wano is even worse
how does oda keep doing it
The worst part about World Seeker is that they someone managed to make Luffy, a character should have been fun as fuck to play in an open world game, so limited in his moveset and ways to traverse the. You should have been able to do Spider-Man shit and zip around with Gum Gum Rocket and things like that. He feels so sluggish and limited though it's crazy. It's like they put no effort into him at all.
It stands out even more because Zoro, Law, and Sabo are actually really fun to play in comparison but they're locked behind DLC.
Literally the beginning of the end, Enies Lobby was literally just ass pulls: the arc. Marineford was the killing blow for the series, along with Oda's paneling ability.
It's so weird when soulless people read one piece and pretend have been fans of it at any point when it's probably just nostalgia for a time before they got soulsucked.
I legitimately cannot understand the appeal of One Piece women, they make anorexic people look like the average American.
>Then Water 7/Ennies Lobby did the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
what
the
fuck ?
Sugars devil fruit is fucking broken. The memory lost part is insane. The world government should lock her up for good.
Enjoy eating shit faggot, One Piece got worse over time.
This. Wyper felt like a fucking filler movie character. Why is it that in every piece of media ever, natives are boring faggots (except for brown coombait I guess).
Was there any clarification on whether the memory loss was tied to the fruit itself, or it was a side effect of the toys. Oda stated that the fruit's power changes depending on the user's actual childhood hobby, if Luffy had it it would turn people into bugs. Sugar being able to tell the toys what to do seems like it would be limited to toys.
Wrong board, faggot. but I completely agree with you
I can forgive the natives for being boring, but not Enel's four priests. Boring fights, boring designs, dumb powers.
I read it recently and came to love it. It's just Oda at his funniest before two particularly dense arcs.
Yeah you know, outlaw characters faced with the impossible and going out in a blaze of glory, but this time they even live to tell it. The whole Ennies Lobby arc is framed in a way that every Strawhat surviving is a small miracle that keeps piling up until that enormous climax where Luffy lays there half dead and all of them, one after the other, arrive to remind him he still hasn't lost everything just yet. And then Usopp, the one friend he had for a fact already lost, appears before him as well. It's just perfect and it's not casual that the arc ends with the Marines admiting total defeat.
One Piece is the most soulless of the big 3. Even Bleach knew what it was time to can it, One Piece just keeps going like some undead malformed horse begging to be put down
Agree but I guess it still being at the top probably factors into Oda not wanting to stop.
One Piece doesn't even get that good until they meet Aokiji at Long Ring Long. There's some touching flashbacks and nice set ups beforehand but its really when Water 7 hits and the world government starts getting built as actual bad guys, not just police, that the story really takes off.
I think Oda should have waited until the Robin flashback to introduce the elder stars.
Oda has no reason to work on it besides finishing what he started. Literally the reason One Piece is still going is because it's not over.
To be fair its not like other manga where a big arc ends and you're left wondering what happens next. Its been made clear from the beginning that the end goal is going to take a long time and we get alot of updates on the crew's actual progress. We knew well before the timeskip that the series was still not even half done
so basically One Piece is the new Bleach?
>Zoomers claiming Wonpiss hasn't been good since an arc from before they were born
Yikes, familia. WCI and Wano have been on an upward trend, Dressrosa was a slog but kino is back on the menu
While it's not perfect it still has top-tier and worldbuilding, surrealistic cartoony artsytle with decent drama, humor and lovable interesting characters.. OP is an ass eating faggot. the pacing is truly bad though
Sabaody was the best arc though and it came after Skypeia.
How? If Oda finished it like at chapter 700 it would have been rushed as hell. There are many plotlines and mysteries that need to be addressed.
>Even Bleach knew what it was time to can it
No it didn't, it should have ended with with Aizen's defeat, instead we got fucking Fullbringers.
