He’s the most fun I’ve had with this game in a very long time.

He was my most wanted character but I think I’m too stupid to play him

How does he fly

He doesn’t. He just has a big jump and reverse Kamehameha that kind replaces it

Character's fucking hard.
I saw Max doing some loops and I still can't even do Blueku loops.
I'm glad he's got a lot of cool shit for people, but I'm probably passing on him. I can barely play 1 character. I'm running DBS Broly/Jiren/Baseku this season.
Just... need to learn how to do SBroly and Baseku combos. I don't wanna do loops, bros, they're hard.

He is missing most of his frames of animation, like everything else in this game.

having more fun with buffed jiren tbqh

pick a better toon for loops if you want your toon to do loops.

Max only labs and dont play online, he's invalid for DBFZ (And pretty much any fighting game recently).

Yeah, it's just that when I watch him do Black stuff ( who I've played since Day 1), I have better stuff with what little Black has.
Though dude also has an odd fascination with getting a sparkless ToD like it's more viable to have 6.5 meter with a character coming in than 3-4 meter and sparking. Baffles me.
I'm retarded, what do you mean?

>labbing your toon loops but still uploading them
Only fools lab toon loops.

>showing off the combos
>invalid for DBFZ
What? Who the fuck cares if he doesn't go online?

Please don’t watch Max user. Watch Dotodoya if anything

me too, user.

If you can't loop with a toon pick a toon that you can loop with instead.
If you are set on using a toon just get good at the loops.

You now understand why the FGC is in a perpetual state of dying.

>mention max
>seething max haters show up immediately
After all these years I still don't get why the chinger changer makes everyone so upset.

I used to watch Max a ton for MvC, but had dropped off. I like his personality, even is his skill is lacking.
In terms of DBFZ content, I don't watch anything but meme videos to be honest. Raptr, Argin, etc.
I don't know what you mean by toon. I tried looking it up, but I'm too retarded to search and too retarded to get it from context.
Dude's always been shit at anime, that much is a solid fact.

Why can't he fly anyway? Hell come the Frieza arc everyone just kind of learned to fly with no real explanation. Always felt weird to me.

Crane school tech, he just never learned it.

He doesn’t even watch Dragon Ball Z. Why’s he even playing this game

Roshi never learned to fly because his rival (the crane hermit) made the flying technique and he didn’t wanna copy him

He is still just an old man that trains with weights. Weights so heavy his jump is akin to flight but he doesn't need to fly so he never learned.
He was turtle school while his rival was crane school. Crane flew, they were his rivals.

His primary income is twitch and Youtube, and Fighterz is... at least a top 5 fighter in terms of relevance right now? I'd have to check, I imagine it's behind Tekken 7 and whatever number MK we're on. Maybe behind SFV as well because Capcom keeps artificially extending its life.

By the time flying became a common thing he wasn't relevant anymore and stopped training. Videl showed that even a normal person can learn to fly if they're taught. Roshi just doesn't give a shit about learning how.

His main income is from streaming whatever is popular at the moment for views. DBFZ brings in a lot of views. That's why he drops every other fighting game after the first week when they're not new and shiny anymore and normies stop caring about them.

>Raptr
I wish he was in a situation where he could upload/play more. I like his sense of humor and editing style, he's not as fucking obnoxious with his 15 edits/soundbytes per frame as a lot of other people and he has skills to back it up as well, even if he's an underdog in almost any tourney he enters.

Because he likes fighting games and DBFZ is a good and very popular fighting game.

He's discussed his gripes with his region. I really hope he can parsec some and get the play he deserves.
Dude could be a pool boss in every tournament he entered if he just got to play people.

What a disgusting jew

If he learns to fly he can't call Bulma to come pick him up and oogle her fun bags.

The primordial coombrain

Did Goku, Krillin, Gohan learn to fly cause they just got so strong? Goku had to jump along Snake way but when he finally went Super Saiyan he was flying.

if you only practice impractical combos for one certain character that need too many bars, all your specific character assists up 100% of the time, and a hard to land starter you're going to have issues in neutral blockstrings and every other part of the match, and be totally fucked when you lose that one character

He never cared to learn, he could if he wanted, granted that even Videl learned it. He hated the Crane School master.

I watched part of his roshi stream and despite being boring as shit I have to say his brain works in weird ways. he's good at labbing, following instructions, remembering numbers and pressing buttons, but when it comes to thinking for himself he's just... slow. that would explain why he underperforms despite revolving his life around fighting games for years and years.
maybe stream mentality has rotten his brain, or maybe he's just naturally bad, I don't know.

He's weirder to play than most but I'm glad he's very unique.

His Rival School, the Crane school, came up with the technique to fly.

Canonically, Roshi's reason he doesn't fly is "Fuck Crane School".

Yeah but I don’t get how you could enjoy an anime fighting game if you haven’t watched said anime. Like you don’t know anything about the fighters, or their intro/outro dialogue, or the moves they use.

That's kind of what happens when streaming is your career. You're a slave to streaming whatever brings in the most views even if it isn't something you actually enjoy.

I just always figured they learned to fly at some point off screen and it was just easier for them than Videl because they had already been channeling their ki for so long by shooting beams and shit

Goku learned to fly by the end of the Piccolo Jr fight (though it's a question if he learned it mid fight or kept it as an ace).
This is the issue, it's cool for a CMV or some shit but you're not gonna hit the round start 6H as Broly on their second character and ToD them. Lab a 2M or 2H or some such.
Or realize that, unless your name is Fenritti, it's a two touch game. ToD's are reserved for the last character.

Watching someone squeeze out every possible/situational combo for a character is a good way to get an idea of what to use for basic BnBs and shit. You may hate Max but it's quite obvious he's very good at squeezing out every ounce of combo potential in a character, like finding out what links into what and whatnot.

Also helps that he mains Hit, who, I still maintain, is the coolest character in DBFZ because he doesn't look like a black haired humanoid and has his own actually developed fighting style and not random streetfighting. Every single punch he throws looks so fucking good.

Wait so why'd he not fly down Snake way?

he just never learned. everyone is saying "he didn't learn it because it's a crane school technique" but this is literally headcanon, pure speculation.

this

>he didn't learn it because it was a crane school technique
[citation needed]

I don't know shit about Power Rangers past Jason and Tommy and I still enjoy BTFG. I like how it plays and I think it looks cool. You think everyone that plays Melty has actually played the visual novel too?

The new SSGSS Gogeta seems to have cribbed a few of his punching techniques.

Can you sexually harrass female characters?

More exhausting than running and he was looking at a very, VERY long trip with no breaks either way. Conserving energy was the name of the game. Doesn't make much sense considering every other time in the series that travel is concerned, but hey, that was at least the reason given.

He ran the way up because it was a million kilometers, an endurance test.
He flew on the way back because the Saiyans were already on Earth. He took a senzu the moment he came back.
>[citation needed]
There is none, Roshi doesn't fly and that's that. Whatever head canon you want is just as viable.

They specifically took that out of the english release

Tien and Chiaotzu could fly and they said they learned it from their master. Their master was the Crane hermit and was an eternal rival to Roshi, the Turtle hermits.
Cranes are known for their graceful flight.

It isn't some deeplore situation user, its putting 2 and 2 together and remembering the actual show/manga.
