Final Fantasy 8 is so shitty it's literally ruining my day to try and beat it. I

I'm at the final boss area and they've taken away my powers just to pad out the game which I fucking hate. I could beat the boss without them but there's an instant kill attack that I need to have more hp for despite the entire game up until this point being level scaled to avoid shit like that from happening.
The last 2 discs have had so much batshit tonal whiplash I just wanna give up. I feel lied to compared to what the first disc seemed to imply the game would be like.

I haven't had the time to play Dusk much but I think Blood was better. Amid Evil was nice but some levels confused the fuck out of me and I run around like a retard looking for how to proceed. I'm thinking to try Ion Fury now.

Maybe my judgement is clouded because of playing a fuckton of Risk of Rain 2 and gotten used to that style of shooter but then again New Blood games are supposed to have some kind of story which I always fail to get a grasp or interest into and I don't get the point of playing level after level without some kind of solid progress in the form of unlockables or character progression. FPS games are a weird thing for me. Metro 2033 had a story I was following, COD 1,2 and 4 was the same. New Blood games were like DOOM where all I got out of them was "haha demon go boom" and the end I get bored before the end most of the time.

I think this is Tampa Bay's, and I think it'll go six games max. I love Dallas and wanted them to win the west because they have so many scorers but I worry about them now allowing 5 goals a game. Either way I just want to see a good, long series with hopefully some OT games, who actually wins it after that is no biggie to me. Playoff hockey is fucking amazing, I pity any sports fans who don't watch it. What about you?

I dunno. I jump between being a 3/10 and a 9/10 at the moment. I feel sad because I was supposed to move to Japan last weekend, and start a new life which I was pretty buzzing about. Still, I can afford to work 20 hours a week and live on my own, comfortably.

I also had a date today, which we had to cancel cause we got hit by the local lockdown in my area. It was my first date in 9 years, so you can imagine how I'm feeling rn. I'm glad I have plenty of friends I can count on at the moment, and just hang out with on discord/zoom and just...chat shit. I would be nothing without them, and I am very grateful for them.
