That's funny because I really like Kelly's stage but hate Bi-O's. Bi-O's song is just constant noise, there is no rhythm to it. And the bassline in Kelly's stage is fucking tight

Ah true. Yes the change in beat is certainly disorienting. I find that Kelly's stage often comes after Kitty-N's stage too, at least on my playthroughs, so it's quite a big change in pace.

I love that fan art. Makes me sad that Bust a Groove isn't still around. Really did have a fantastic variety of characters. A few duds with characters like Hamm, Pinkie, Tsutomu but across both games they have an excellent character pool. Sad that they faded into obscurity. Great designs.

Maybe Bust a Groove and his genre wouldn't had much left to live, at least something as niche as a PS1 dance series, but completely discarding those great two games and making an unrelated clean forgettable """sequel""" (which probably even tanked hard) ultimately was the demise of Bust a Groove, further cemented by Square and Enix fusion, which probably sent the IP in a limbo.
