What was a big waste of money you spent on a video game?
What was a big waste of money you spent on a video game?
This rancid piece of shit right here. I was 15 back then and it’s was all the Birthday money I had that year.
Their gimmick that the menu is the MCs jacket was implemented in the most stupid way possible. You flipped the wiimote and the nunchuck sideways to mimick the motion of opening the jacket. It worked like 20% of the time.
100-200 on hearthstone
Spent over 100$ on a sealed copy of Sonic Lost World on Wii U. Why? I wanted the exclusive DLC
I am surprised they did a limited edition for some random ass Wii game. Did they really expect it to be so popular?
fucking retard
Yeah, the thing that stopped me from playing Sonic Lost World on PC was I wanted to play the cool Zelda DLC in the Wii U version. I'm not that much of a stickler for buying games anymore, so I figure now that I got a good computer I can just emulate it, though. Or worst case scenario if it doesn't emulate well I can get a Wii U, hack it like I did my Wii and 3DS, and play whatever I want on the Wii U.
Recently? WWE Battlegrounds. I really wanted to believe WWE games we’re gonna be ok again, and that it would be like All Stars, but it’s a painfully boring game that plays and has a progression system exactly like a shitty mobile game. Fuck, an Immortals console port would have been amazing. I’ve lost all hope in wrasslin’ games forever at this point.
Holy shit. I feel sorry for you.
I feel ya, I actually really liked the game back when brode was still on the team, wanted to support the devs, then Blizzard went full retard and I just deleted the game
my entire life of gaming, what a wasted life
Kingdom Hearts 3 and its DLC
Xenoblade 2 special edition
TWEWY for Switch
FF7R
Rain World
MMX collection for PS4 (input lag is horrible)
Buying this game brand new. Blandest game world ever.
I paid for ffxiv sub plus got those character change potions a few times. Wouldn't be so bad but I played it with my wife so that doubled the amount. Probably came to 300ish bucks for a single game.
i've only had 2 cases of instant regret over a videogame purchase in my life. One was Operation Racoon City and the other was Black Desert on ps4.
Either TERA or SecondLife.
Spent a lot more on the latter, but the former was definitely a bigger waste.
At least I can fap to SL.
i just played at work
ungoro was the last time i enjoyed it
I got really drunk playing tf2 and bought a collector's professional kill streak eyelander because someone I was in voice chat with said I didn't have the balls to drop that kind of money.
Now I just play demoknight to try and justify it
What's wrong with Rain World? I played it and it was not my kind of game at all. It stressed me out and the monsters made me want to cry.
The worst part was that I ended up really disliking Lost World. So it felt particularly bad, having to spend that kind of money on a game you didn't even end up enjoying.
Probably like £200 on robux. That’s it really.
And that's why I pirate. It kind of flips around the other way too, like Sonic and the Black Knight really was not that good but because I got it completely free I still kind of liked it and was able to appreciate its merits.
Completely agree. I did it for Sonic to further complete my long time collection, but if it was anything else, pirating is truly the way to go. Especially for retro games.
Re-bought xbox one x during lockdown used for €300 to play ori and the will of the wisps. I had a cheap gamepass sub that was still active so that’s all i spent but i sold it couple months ago for €250 so i spent €50 and a lot of time picking up and selling the box for one €20 game.
Also it just released on switch so exclusives are bullshit.
It wasn't even exclusive in the first place, it was on PC too. Unless your PC is a toaster or something.
They chilled the game pretty hard back then. Like its gonna be the comeback of Atari.
I guess spending 480$ on PC,
I would also say xbox360 but that was present from my parents so not my waste, although I still feel bad about it
A huge red flag is that they couldn't even be bothered to come up with a better box art then "generic man with gun." How do they go from this, to that?
I donated $93,000 to Gawr Gura.
What's wrong with spending $480 on PC? That's incredibly cheap for a computer.
