I disagree, but that's just my subjective opinion haha, have a good day bro!

30fps is garbage for modern games, why the fuck are you defending this in 2020? we are not playing in sub 100mhz PS1 and N64, we have 8 cores machines and RTX equivalents shoved in nowadays consoles

24fps and 30fps are the same thing

acceptable frame rate realy depends on type of videogame you are playing and how you are accustomed to it
24 fps is obviously not universally "unplayable" because people were playing (sometimes still do) starfox and quake without voodoo cards
but if I had to play wipeout in 24fps cap I would cut myself
if you you are poorfag 30 fps is okayish for most games you play because you are used to it, but 60 is nice upgrade
I have never saw game beeing played at more then 60 fps in my life h-haha

The human eye can't see more than 24fps and any more than that is literally a placebo effect

For snoys 24~30fps is cinematic.

I don't care as long as it's locked. Shit frame pacing is the fucking devil.

24-30 is FPS is really unplayable unless you are a low IQ consolekuk

>playable if stable
>acceptable
>perfect
>extravagant
>actually placebo

>defending 30fps

>good enough if stable
>good enough if stable (its literally the same thing)
>amazing
>holy jesus christ
>what the fuck are you doing

Left should've been the standard for a decade now. The fact that consoles still cannot run games at 120+ FPS is an embarrassment to the industry.

Zig Forums is overrun with RGB-toting PC virgins. What do you expect?

>giving bait a you

OP confirmed underage consolefag (And That's A Good Thing)

Do yourself a favor and stay away from PC gaming, once you experience a high refresh rate monitor you won't be able to go back.

Unplayable
>unstable fps under 60
Bad
>everything under the refresh rate of my monitor
Good
>vertical synchronization with my monitors refresh rate with triple buffering
Great
>stable 125 fps
Perfection
>stable 125 fps at maximum detail and high resolution

30 fps is not good you console degenerate

I have never once cared about frames or resolution desu.

I am happy if it runs smooth and stable and it at least doesn't hurt my eyes it is so shitty.

Here's the blackpill
>stable 30 fps is genuinely fine
>retards who say 30 fps is shit are hardstuck at 60fps and can't adapt their brain to the change of framerate
>anything above 60fps is pointless in terms of visual experience except for games that benefit from higher frames such as csgo
>fluctuating fps is always bad

You can play Sunshine at 60fps on PC.

ftfy

Even 60 pains my eyes these days.

>PS5 advertising DMC5 with UP TOO 120
>can run the game at 140 on my mid range card

>>>stable 30 fps is genuinely fine
>>>anything above 60fps is pointless in terms of visual experience except for games that benefit from higher frames such as csgo

Spoken like a true console suck refresh ratelet.

60 fps can be decent if it's not a fast paced game or shooter, i'd classify it as decent/passable instead. Other than that, Zig Forums was right.

You might be legit fucking retarded

30fps is fine imo but the drops are very noticeable.
I wouldn't mind a 30fps lock in games like Bloodborne if it was actually consistent.

>24fps
unplayable
>30
unplayable
>60fps
barely acceptable, and should be the minimum again
>120fps
great, I hate the look of anything lower
>240fps
fantastic, ideal for all situations

Please go fix your eye sight.

Locked 30 FPS with proper frame pacing >> uneven 60 FPS

Daily reminder movies are 24fps

And?

Yes, and movies hurt my eyes.

It's the limit of how fast our eyes can process information

Incorrect.

Get your eyes checked.

It really is fucking ridiculous how much stock Zig Forums places in framerate. Sure, if it is like

>>retards who say 30 fps is shit are hardstuck at 60fps and can't adapt their brain to the change of framerate

I can play at 30 fps shitbrain. I just don't want to.

this is the truth, right here
60FPS is the borderline standard, anything below that is stuttery disgusting garbage that fucks up your eyes and makes you feel sick
going above 60 makes everything even more smooth and delicious, however one major flaw with going above 100 fps is the higher you go, the bigger the sudden frame drops are and in some shitty games with poor optimisation can lead to you feeling like you're playing at sub 30 fps even when you're jittering between 165 - 240 fps, it's awful

>less than 30
Bad
>30 to 60
Fine
>60
Great
>more than 60
Pointless

you ought to be old enough to recognize manufactured outrage when you see it by now, it's the internet's #1 currency.

the human can't see beyond 118 fps

>cant see good enough to play effectively without extremely high frames
>thinks other people need to fix their eye sight.

>>more than 60
>>Pointless
Cope, refresh ratelet.

60 fps started to hurt my eyes after I witnessed 120 fps

>Reality

>unacceptable = frame rate changes regardless of how high it gets

For me it's
>24fps (Ratchet and Clank for PS4)
Unplayable.
>30fps
Kinda playable.
>30-60fps
Playable.
>60fps
Great.
>165fps
Perfect, and anything above is wasted on me.

>24
Unplayable
>30
Ok if stable
>60
Good
>120
Nice to have
>240
Literal meme, if you invested in a 240hz monitor you're a retard

No, left is correct.

fixed, you are welcome

If anime can be 24fps, your kusoge can be as well

>sub 60
unplayable
>60
I'll deal with it
>70+ adaptive sync
al dente

get with the times

t. never experienced 120hz in his life user

Technology is so far beyond what the average consumer accepts as "fine" but companies can get away with selling criminally underpowered shitboxes to the public so the capabilities of a complete turd of a product are considered the industry standard driving down the quality of everything. It is not fine it is extremely regressive.

The relevance of framerate depends pretty much entirely on how rapidly the image changes. Slow-ass controller camera pan in a platformer, walking sim, beat-em-up vs fast mouse flicks in a skill-based first person game.

while anime plays back at 24hz, most of the actual animation is only 12-16fps. It is actually a similar situation for fighting games. Sure, it plays back at 60hz, but the actual animations are usually only 6fps, 12fps, or 16fps. In fact, for serious 2d fighting games, the gameplay loop practically relies on these low frame rate animations. For as cool as smooth and well animated as you might think Dragon Ball FighterZ is, there isn't a single animation in it that is more than 16fps.
