Tfw I think 1080p 60fps is perfectly good to enjoy videogames

My trusty GTX 1080 gonna last me another 4 years

all the best games were made between 1989 and 2008 anyway

gfx are so stagnant they sell you 8k for last years game

1050 chad here, I don't even play AAA trash so I'm good for a long while.

For me, it's the RX580.

I unironically bought a 1080 yesterday

Same. I don't think I've bought anything graphically intensive in years. I think TW: 3K is the latest, and it still plays perfectly fine on high settings.

I've got rx590. Great card for the price and it runs flawlessly on linux unlike the 5700. I wonder about the new amd cards

There is literally no reason to upgrade beyond 1080p

>got a 980
>still runs most modern games 60@1080
Not in the mood for buying into the 4k or 8k meme.

1080p60hz is definitely fine, but higher r3drwah rate is preferable. I'm planning on buying a 144hz monitor during black Friday or Christmas, should be pretty cheap

Considering consoles are still barely reaching 1080p and 60fps, I'd say you're good for at least another decade. No company out there is really pushing anything above that. Maybe 4K, but it's mostly upscales.

Based Arch

Have you played Diablo 2 recently by any chance? It used to run flawlessly but now it has some weird hiccups when there's a lot of shit on the screen (ele druid + diablo fire attacks for example) and I've no idea if I fucked something up or if a Wine update did.

>tfw 5700xt
Who 1080p/144Hz masterrace here?

Attached: feelsgud.png (659x609, 66.19K)

1080 with shadows on medium, no anti-aliasing, no hdr nor other kind of filter effect and 60fps is good to me.

I don't play FPSs so it´s fine for me.

RTX 2070 1080p@144hz

feels gud

>1080p
correct
>60hz
Nope, upgrading to a 144hz monitor was the best decision I've made. Going back to 60hz feels awful.
Based, I plan to get one if I need to upgrade my GPU. I mostly play old games anyway.

>tfw going to buy a 3060 and be set for the next 7 years of gaymen at 1080p

if you stay alive that long sure

I bought a laptop for £1,000 last year and it runs every game just fine

1060 6GB here
Playing Horizon + Metro exodus without any problem

I just want to be able to play 144 fps at 1440p
should I get a 3070 eventually?

Nigga wait for benchmarks and AMD cards you fucktard.

I'm still on 1080 60 FPS I just gotta upgrade to 144hz and then watch everyone throw shit over the new kike tech.

>tfw 970
I've never cared about graphics, as long as the game is good and it runs at 60 fps I don't care how it looks

not him but try lutris' own wine builds, they also come with fsync enabled (if your kernel supports it, e.g. linux-zen)

>Still running a GTX750 TI

no need to be rude.

Bitch I'm giving your retarded ass advice before you do something you regret. Be grateful.

1660S here. I am fucking fine for years.

Never thought to run it through lutris since it works out of the box but I'll give it a try

I got a 6GB 1060 and I've got no intention to upgrade as long as it can still run stuff at 1080p/60fps.

only AAA games i'm interested in are FFXVI, FFVII, DQXI and Cyberpunk and none of them are super intensive

What vcard and vrheadset do i need for 60fps no mans sky vr?

Me too buddy. Won't upgrade my GPU until RTX4070. Paypigs are welcome to buy new GPUs every 2-4 years.
