wat

Stalker and Escape from Tarkov are roadside core

Stalker, yeah. Tarkov is just potential wasted on a shitty game.

Like Stalker but anime? Sure, it could work
is this manga good?

They're loosely inspired by it, especially Tarkov. But I was asking about an anime styled game specifically.

>is this manga good?
I just started reading myself, so far I've been enjoying it. Though the "other side", which is the equivalent of the manga's world to the Zone, seems less deadly. At least from what I've seen so far.

It's pretty nice for a lark if you're really autistic about excessively detailed guns/gear. I can't explain why I got the giddy feeling I did when I first equipped a helmet and realized that it muffled my hearing but god damn that shit scratched my itch.

It already doesn't exist

Stalker exists, so yeah.

No, weebs want the focus to be on anime girls. The game comes second. In a book like roadside or a game like stalker, the world and the new strangeness is the focus.
Of course it'd be possible but weebs would want more focus on waifus, and normies would be turned off by the anime. And that's not even bringing up how most "X but anime styled" games have worse gameplay than whatever the X is.

Name plox

That's why it's a waste of potential. The systems are great, it's such a shame they're stuck in a psuedo h1z1 style shitfest.

>Reading yuribait

>is this manga good?
no

Oh, I'm not sure why I didn't get your meaning the first time. I agree with you there.

I remember Sysadmin-kun making that, but like all of his projects, it just stopped being updated.

>And that's not even bringing up how most "X but anime styled" games have worse gameplay than whatever the X is.
A more puzzle solving oriented game with the occasional third person shoot outs would seem cool though.

Urasekai Picnic

Horrible opinion.

What makes it bait exactly? I don't see much of anything yuri in it, but what makes it bait?

It would seem cool, I agree. Conceptually it'd be fine but I really do not think it would end up being good in actuality, based on previous experience.

The yuri is real but it will take like 100 chapters to get there if not more. It's pretty much irrelevant before that.

I might look into it one day then. Speaking of "STALKER but anime", the Girl's Frontline setting is pretty much that but the devs never focus on it in favor of international conspiracy stuff.

>based on previous experience
You mean Survarium and such? They were just trying to ride on STALKER's hype specifically. I don't think another actual STALKER game, but with an anime skin would work as well. I'm thinking more of something like exploration, but with this desolate horror environment. The cute anime girls would just be a bonus.

Isn't this based on a LN? Does that get actual yuri at some point?

>mobage
Call me when that series gets an actual real game.

They kiss in vol. 4, which is not translated yet.

The manga has covered like half of first volume I believe?

Given the format of "gacha strategy game/visual novel" the game runs in, there isn't a whole lot of room to dig deeply into the wasteland theme. It's unfortunate, but Griffin is stuck having to deal with Sangvis, the White faction, and their own supposed allies, which doesn't give the commander a lot of opportunity to interact with the desolate environment.

>Darker than Black has been dead and gone for almost 10 years

I mean previous "Like X but Y" (particularly anime). Code vein and God eater come to mind immediately, being souls and monhun but anime respectively. Both are functional, but objectively worse gameplay wise at the expense of more focus on anime girls.

Darker than black was great. Shame is never went beyond season 1, but thats probably for the best. I'm sure a second season would be a shitty attempt to cash in that ruins things.

Just let me pretend

The OVA was good. Mid-season/special or whatever you want to call it.

Girl's Last Tour was heavily inspired by Stalker, the mangaka even drew a scene from the film on twitter

Retards
It hasn't been gone. It had an anniversary gathering a couple years ago where the only person to say no was the creator.
Wasn't that bad. Just a mediocre second season to a godly first season making it look like irredeemable dogshit. UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ

It's pretty damn shit man. Good OST can't save a shit plot and characters.
