cringe

>starts vote kick against you

press f1 everyone

(You)

why release a DLC so late in a game's lifespan?

Because it's the usual Value "u made this? Now it's in the game" community update shit

When is this update going live?

youtube.com/watch?v=wJMF-zxgbLc
>literally just survival maps, bugfixes and melee weapon reskins
>made by the community
>making this much of a fuss over so little
as someone who played L4D2 nonstop well after others dropped it, I'm pretty underwhelmed.

XBOX EXCLUSIVE THANK GOD

WOHOOOOOOOOOOOO

The game wasn't that great.
Yes I was a teen when it came out, but that alone doesn't make this shit nostalgic for me.

Because Valve wants to test the waters of community updates again after the disastrous Invasion TF2 update. If it does well, they can let the community do what they want with their older games and finally be free to escape to the land of Give Up Machines, AKA VR.

It also has PVP changes, which is the best stuff because Versus is the best mode!

OVER EIGHT HUNDRED LADDERS

This, it’s all community shit. Who cares when mods are a thing any way.

>CSS guns
>(sort of) new campaign
seems fine to me user

What exactly went wrong with the Invasion update anyway? What did the community do to scare away VALVe?

Is there a new custom campaign?

I just wanna use the CS:GO snipers without using console commands

i'm curious, what kind of things the update needed to add that you wouldn't consider underwhelming?

Versus is the only mode.
But I still don't see why I should be excited.
A last-sendoff for a game like L4D2 demands a proper new scenario.
A huge climax analogous not only to the game's life as a whole but every other escape we've played at the end of the other scenarios over the years.

A real missed opportunity.

Last night I dreamed of the update. There were two tanks in the first room of the new campaign, and the finale is a bunch of T posing zombies slowly walking toward you in my backyard while your teammate tries to pick you up in a car. On that stage you can only use large lawn chairs to beat back zombies.

>still not easy split screen

Wait, how??

nevermind just realized there's a new campaign that the trailer didn't emphasize, now you have my attention.

fuck off. the game doesn't even need new content. what it needs is new players. the game is basically perfect as it is.

seriously, go reinstall it and play it. the nostalgia and 10/10 comfy gameplay will give you a blast.

One of the organisers of it stole all of the money going to creators

Basically at the last second the "community organizers" who contributed very little to the update demanded a larger share of the profits. The rest of the team who had made the hats, maps, and weapons bucked, and the update was delayed three days because of it

it's not meant to be a last sendoff. it's a testing ground to see if there's still interesting in the game and could see more valve-community partnerships for new left 4 dead 2 content in the future.

tl;dr it took forever to tard wrangle everybody and the two project leads tried to take the lion's share of the money for TF2 market content which led to delays and a huge headache on the community/Valve's part. Everybody needs to sign off on the split for items and the project leads tried to take more than half of the actual item creator's profits from the item being included in the game.

Oh I forgot theres also a special infected it's the tall guy from Resi 2 he grabs survivors by their ankles spins around and chucks them across the stage

10am PST

Vermintide is better, sorry

Tbh the ending of the trailer is pretty cringe. I agree with you about that

>it's better so it's more good!

It's a shit update but it's going to make more people play and I'm still not bored of this game so why not? Too bad my only friend doesn't feel like playing.

lol

uh.... yeah, actually thats exactly what that means

What time will they roll the update out?

>uh.... yeah, actually thats exactly what that means

They usually release game updates around 7PM CET time so in 2 hours but I'm not sure.

...

2 brand new campaign
flamethrower

Community hub says in 1 hour

>fire damage to Tanks reduced by 1/3
>new Tank- and Witch-spawns
>new ladders for the Infected, previously inaccessible areas made accessible, thus creating new attack opportubitys
>Jockey's damage per second unaltered, but now registered by two ticks
>Charger will now longer stumble when charging into nearby Survivors
>spawn-rates no longer randomized, instead fixed to a quicker 20 seconds
>many Survivor shortcuts, such as climbing over the coaster in Dark Carnival 3, have been made inaccessible
I love how much they buffed Infected. Versus has always been too easy on the Survivors. They'd just rush through any maps, thus gaining the entirety of distance points and survival bonus points, causing the game to be decided by the damage bonus only, which was a horrible way to determine a winner because the bonus was fixed and thus did not really represent how much better one team played over the other.

too bad they restricted mods

>still no screamer infected

For what, a month? All of the dedicated nerds are going to update their mods to be compatible in no time.

>Always running and summoning hordes
No fuck off
