It's a fun roguelike and all but... what?

This game is literally on sale every other week. That makes me weary of it and makes me think it’s not that good...

The last time it was on sale was june though

I played the game with as little information as possible before starting. Was in a Rip and Tear kind of vibe when suddenly I entered this room and heard the song.

I like moments like these a lot, it's no fun getting invested in a story when you can see the outcome a mile away.

Anyway, it's a fucking good song.


I really liked it, though I haven't finished it yet. In my opinion, it's a good indie game. Not Hollow Knight good, but very close.

Lament of Orpheus is 10x better though

It's a hard comparison to make, I think. I love this game to death, but the intricate stories of Geralt are very hard to beat.

God damn it's so good. I like both versions of Lament of Orpheus, but this one is better.

It's my first Supergiant game. I'm not much of an indie game player. I played Hollow Knight a couple of months ago and it opened my eyes to gems like these. Do you have any recommendations for me ?

I haven't played any other Roguelike, but as far as I know, that's kind of inevitable with this genre.

Quite the contrary IMO, new Gods giving you new buffs keeps the game fresh. I'm only 6 hours in though.

no, you need to invest that much blood into a weapon to unlock the hidden aspect anyway (except spear which unlocks through story)

gun is pretty tricky to use at first but once you get used to it you should be able to win pretty consistently, I find it to be a very safe weapon to use

Gun is good, you can probably beat the final boss with a completely unupgraded mirror and weapon as long as you get the right boons, its just a matter of learning to dodge through his spin attack.

>titan blood is really difficult to get and by the time you even get one maxed aspect per weapon you're going to be bored of the game

4/10 game, fun combat mechanics but severely lacking everywhere else and not that fun after you beat the game twice
