Space Engine
Elite Dangerous
Homeworld feels pretty lonely (even if you're fighting enemies a lot)
No Man's Sky
No Mans Sky or Star Citizen

Elite dangerous
Except it's closer to real space aka a whole lot of nothing
Elite Dangerous is perfect for this.
Played Homeworld and not sure about No Man's Sky. It seems like you spend majority of your time building your base on a planet. Will check out Elite Dangerous, thanks.
Star Citizen
Literally Star Citizen
It's a scam though so don't pay much.
Starfield
>No Man's Sky
It's exactly the opposite.
Outer Wilds.
There are NPCs, but there are also times where you feel really isolated and trapped. It's also the only really good space exploration game, I don't consider the appeal of something like Elite Dangerous or No Man's Sky to be exploration given how infrequently you really find interesting things.

my post best post
EvE Online
Elite dangerous
Play eve and do exploration
I played all space games listed here and Elite Dangerous is the best game to explore and feel like you're alone. The feeling is surreal and maybe you'll end up killing yourself irl.
Seconding Outer Wilds. although OW doesn't really have megastructures
Thanks for that, user. I'll definitely check out Elite Dangerous and explore space. I've heard you can find one of the Voyager probes if you know the exact coordinates.
Outer Wilds does space the best
Such genre is dead and niche as fuck.
Literally two fucking games
>ED with low budget team
>and SC scum
Yea, you can, and it very small and pointless. Enjoy.
What do you mean no megastructure? Have you played the game?
Why doesn't star's gravity absorb that planet?
>if you know the exact coordinates.
Not since the noobification updates. Now you just select the shit on the nav panel.
I guess the engine cannot deform planets in a "cigar planet" if you made it orbiting fast enough around a black hole for it to not fall in
if you go far out enough in starsector you can feel really really isolated, especially if your fleet isn't well equipped for long distance journeys
This. That first time you fall into the black hole in brittle hollow [/spoilers] made me gasp.
hopefully Starfield
Mass effect Andromeda to an extent
E:D is amazing for mmo feel, deep exploration, and literal month long journeys by yourself + some aliens
outerwilds for space trippy exploration but you have to get used to the loop
no mans sky if you want a generic planet explorer/base building and survival but still pretty fun once you get over the big faults
The only "game" ITT that qualifies is this Another game like that is Noctis IV but that game has some old and abstract graphics with weird controls.
Wait, there are actually objects around a black star? I thought nothing can escape a black star.
I did, although it has been a while.
I don't remember any structure bigger than the planets.
Avorion is a fun game, it's like a mix between EvE Online and Space Engineers.
around is not inside. What you see is the aree of no return. the singularity inside (a point ora ring, if the black hole is static or spinning) is much much smaller. You can see where you cannot return where it gets black
Black holes aren't evil space vacuums, you know. They still behave according to the laws of general relativity, meaning you can end up in a stable orbit around them, just like any other celestial body.
The only correct answer OP, do yourself a favor and go in blind, your enjoyment is inversely proportional to how much you know going in
