realistically though, there are too many material changes to object/enemy design to "fix" the remake to a degree with which everyone will be happy. They should have called it a reimagining, then people wouldn't be irritated when they take liberties

Scrap it and replace it with a remaster that redoes some textures and comes out on modern platforms.

I would have added content instead of just giving it a facelife. The game is fun but it really is only 6 hours long and I can't justify dropping $70 on something I platinumed back in 2009 with no new content.

I loved Demon's Souls when it came out but it's severely outdated in a lot of aspects, I'd rather get a new Souls game but I definitely don't want to play the same game for the hundredth time just because it got a high-res patch. Remasters are pointless, remakes at least try to do something new.
