honestly i did and i even had fun with his game. the multiplayer in particular was fun with my brother. he was cool in the era he came out.

The dude barely winked or gave a fuck about Sonic after SA2. They were barely rivals. But ever since Sonic Boom, he's now an annoying arrogant cunt.
They've flanderized him into the Vegeta of the Sonic universe
But whereas the actual Vegeta had character development and is legitimately the best character in DBZ, Shadow is just an edgy rival character with zero depth who is either just there to look cool, or there to job to whatever the threat is

It's sad he didn't get a spinoff series and only got the one game. If it wasn't so edgy and jarringly different, it probably would have been much better and I loved Shadow the Hedgehog, I just didn't like the way the ending had all of the super bright coloured characters of the series all together in contrast to everything else around them that was black and grey and then they're all fucking suffocating kek. What a fucking strange series.

I don't think Eggman has ever competently pulled a plan off before and after SA2. Sonic always completely wrecked his ambitious before with ease. Shadow seemed to have the competency needed to get the SA2 scheme to go off without a hitch and the only reason it failed is because he intervened it himself. Hell, Shadow had to save the day too.
I guess you can argue Forces, but Robotnik had a big McGuffin.
