New box art is fine, well-made but pretty generic.

Old box art is a trashed, defeated knight. It's kind of sombre and unusual.

I personally prefer the old, but even without my preference, isn't that more thematically appropriate to Demons's Souls? It's a grim kind of game.

old boxart its defiantly more thematically appropriate, but at the same time it doesn't really communicate what the game is about. Look at the boxart for every other souls game and it's "main character standing confidently". Demons was the only one where the main character is slumped over dead.
