I only played the first one and loved it. I hear 2 is great and 4 is shit. No idea what the consensus is on 3.
I liked 3,
>why is it 2?
2 broke ground for the series with Business simulation, weather, aging and aspirations.
>No idea what the consensus is on 3.
A lot of people like 3 but complains the Sims are ugly and the game runs like doo doo
2 has so much soul. Like daaamn. No nude mode is gonna top that.
2 was peak. they got soulless after that
>NOOOOOO NOT THE HECKIN PIZZARINOOOO
2 has the best gameplay in the series, even with all the expansions it's not a bloated mess of useless content like 3, it's got great art direction so it still looks good today, the neighborhoods are fun to play in since every family has nice little stories and lots of thought put into them
Sims 3 had a lot of 'small details' but you choose to focus on the pizza
I love 2, but I feel like 3 is the HD remaster of 2. If I could move furniture around and design a house in 2 like I can with 3/4... then 2 would be obsolete. But without it I give 2 and 3 a tie.
4 is just a cash grab with EA's brown shit streak written all over it.
>then 2 would be obsolete
errr... I meant 3/4 would be obsolete and 2 would be GOAT
Sims 4 is the best Sims game.
Folowed by 3, then 2.
1 is pure pure pure PURE shit.
Shocker, Zig Forums doesn't play games.
OH NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE BOOOOOTSCREENERINO
You could move objects just like in 3 if you used cheats to disable grid snapping
4 is terrible in most other aspects but its build mode is great, being able to move and reshape rooms without having to demolish half of your house is so fucking convenient I had trouble going back to building in 2, and it's been improved considerably with patches, segmented stairs are great, building roofs isn't a pain in the ass and you can change their shape any way you want, plus you don't have to resort to terraforming fuckery to build taller foundations or taller/shorter walls
Yeah 3 is cool
name 1 detail that sims 3 does better than sims 2
Why does 2 take a fucking century to start on Windows 10.
It usually only takes a long time the first time you start it because it has to create the save folder into your documents, then it should take a minute at most, do you have a shitload of mods installed or something?
Open world that useless.
What neighborhood (2) should I try after Pleasantview?
Why is EA dragging the Sims 4 era for so long
No, even after saving and quitting, the game takes about 5 minutes to even boot into the loading screen, I'm reading it has something to do with AMD drivers released after 2018, it's insane.
Strangetown is the best neighborhood.
Strangetown is great, also play the PSP and DS versions of Sims 2 if you want more backstory on the neighborhood
3 is where the game was starting to lose it's soul. The open world is virtually useless, it runs pretty bad after a while (even on a great pc) if you have all the expansions, the sims look like shit... but it has a lot of content which is something 4 still lacks to this day i think
>The open world is virtually useless
Nah
It's almost like making an expansion pack or two every year is cheaper than working on a new game
Trust me, it's better this way, the industry has come to the point where if Sims 5 actually comes out it will be GaaS or otherwise be filled with unavoidable online social features an astounding number of microtransactions and an ingame store that will replace the expansion packs model altogether
i mean, it's cool to have an active neighborhood and no loading times but that's the reason why the game runs so bad
>Vampires get all the cool shit
>Magicians and Mermaids: Crickets
>mermaids
do they have underwater housing now?
No
You can build it... underpool.
Sims 1: Soul
Sims 2: best pre-created neighborhoods, houses, expansions, and families
Sims 3: best gameplay
Sims 4: best aesthetic, character creation, and building mode
their eyes look way too big
3 is the best one, but it runs like shit.
Is it just me or do the sims games run like absolute fucking shit?
Sims 2, 3, and 4 all have huge fucking stuttering issues. I've tried everything to fix it and the general consensus is that that the games are programmed by niggers.
Really want to play 2 and 3, but they stutter so much that it's unplayable.
wait, do you mean pools above floors?
What do you think of it?
I mean floors under pools.
like those cool seethrough pool ceilings? they have that in 4?
Hell if i know. Last time when i played 4 there was no pool or water.
most sim games run like shit because there's a ton of stuff running at the same time. it's "normal"
Pretty much what this user said, plus best coom mod is for sims 4.
The Sims 4 does not have story progression, so the whole neighborhood dies to old age without having children, moving house or getting a job.
There isn't a definitive one, which really sucks.
Sims 1: Aesthetic and Music. (youtube.com
Sims 2: Details and Expansions.
Sims 3: World and Gameplay.
Sims 4: Building, Creation, and Mods.
3 is pretty notorious for that, I never had any issues with the other games though.
no, the reason why it runs bad is because of poor memory allocation
>best aesthetic
if the aesthetic you like is the one from the Barbie 3D movies, than it is.
i mean, the whole game look like a dollhouse, it's design is aimed at girls
I'd argue there are some expacs 3 did over 2 and 2 did over 3.
Holy shit this take is absolute garbage.
man
i wanted to pirate 4 for the building but there's just too many updates
I like The Sims 4 because it lets me make sluts and then rape them into oblivion.
