A long, hard, but well made game. It's a bit of an endurance challenge though. Huge maps with a complex layout and it doesn't hold your hand at all.

Infuriatingly confusing level design, bad graphics and no story to speak of.

How does it compare to turok 1

A pretty good fifth gen game.
I wish more of them got PC ports. There's a lot of games that are trapped on the N64/Saturn/PS1 that could really use a good framerate.

Much better graphics and gore. More weapons. More diverse and better defined environments.

More exotic weapons.

Bigger maps than T1.

beware oblivion is at hand

BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND

Fun game with interesting weapons, but you can easily get lost backtracking to find objectives.

a well made first person shooter that is more varied that most games released today and even feels more immersive in some cases
and also absolute terror like pic related

They should implement quest markers in a re-release :3

Long levels are long.

Shut the fuck up.

I know you're being facetious, but it would not have been a bad idea to originally have some better way to indicate objectives.

I'll compromise and say that letting players put markers on the map, or notes, would be okay.

The N64 version sounds better. Better instrumentation.

boredom

>well made game
it's awful

turok 1 is far better

art direction is worse
enemies are lame
weapons are ok, but too many meme ones
framerate is ass

The Lair of the Blind Ones. Little is known of this mysterious race. Legends tell of ghostly figures emerging at night from underground and dragging hapless victims to their doom. Though they do not possess the power of sight, the Blind Ones are hardly helpless. They can hear the beat of a heart and smell the blood of an intruder from a great distance. Attacking with primitive brutality and a lust for warm blood, they have lived for countless centuries deep beneath the surface of the Lost Land

I don't agree it is awful though I will admit I prefer the aesthetics of Turok 1 to Turok 2. That's a matter of personal taste though.

Seeds of evil.

fighting dinomen is boring
the enemies of turok 1 were much much more interesting

>Thank you, Turok!

why don't; you play it and find out dumb cunt

That shitty level filtered me as an adult
When I was a kid I didnt find it that annoying.
Am I dumber now?

Just fucking play it, you are missing out a master piece. If you are a Zoomer you will probably drop the game at level 4.

>OWRH!
>slaps you with giant ballsack

Because everything nowadays gets the casual treatment. We got used to it too much.

I AM TUROK

Kill yourselves or go play literally any modern game then you smooth brain quadroon faggots. Not everything has to be streamlined and hand holdy.

Great gunplay with needlessly complex and confusing level design

I didn't drop turok 1 I think I'll be fine.

How is this one?

I played Turok 2 when it first came out. Stop pretending the level design is intuitive: it's not. I'm not asking for hallways, just for better direction.

Stop being so yikes about it.

i've only played this one but i enjoyed it

I wish evolution was on steam i love the sleg

lots of backtracking or replaying levels because you missed something.

Based truther

A huge pile of garbage overestimated by shitendies with no good shooters on their system

Absolutely atrocious level design, but still a well made FPS. I've played the original doom games and had no problem with non-linear design. Turok 2 seems purposely obtuse to get more hours out of you. I've played the modern PC release which is fantastic and comes with optional "quest markers" and even with those I had to consult a walkthrough. It's just absolutely horrible level design, but I still recommend the game since it's fun.

Mediocre

it's annoying as fuck if you miss a key or something in a fuckhuge level and you have no idea where it is so you're just creeping around backtracking down dozens tunnels that all look exactly the same. turok 1 managed to have maps that felt expansive without also being annoying.

NUMBER OF TYRANNOSAURUSES
turok 1: 1
turok 2: 0

the superior game is clear
