Friend and I started playing again recently and put up a server minimal mods (just amx and galileo), 800 starting money, 4 second freezetime, pretty much entirely classic settings. It has been hard to get people in and build a player base...we are losing faith. It seems like most people who still play 1.6 just want to play 24/7 dust2 with infinite money and servers bogged down with mods.

We paid for 3 months of server time from NFO and the IP is 74.91.119.67:27015. We've been trying to recreate the feeling of classic CS 1.6 pubbing in terms of settings (money, freezetime, gravity, etc) while also playing a somewhat varied pool of maps (dust, dust2, nuke, inferno, iceworld, poolday, awp_map, awp_dust, westwood, office, starwars2, etc) by allowing people to nominate and vote. We have a little over 250 unique player connects, but we've been having trouble maintaining regulars and getting people to connect during peak hours. Basically, we have me and my buddy, our two alt accounts idling and an HLTV for 5/25 to try to get people in, and people do join, but not in big numbers and most people leave pretty fast.
