It's a mediocre Mario Party clone that deserves a sequel/remake to get rid of it's most glaring issues.
The AI shouldn't magically know where the exact movement card it needs is at all times, and minigames should be played at the end of every turn like in Mario Party.
The game should use a dice system for board movement and keep the card crap to battling monsters only.
If you want a superior experience just play Party Mode in Sonic and The Secret Rings. It's a better Mario Party clone than Shuffle is.

It's shit that doesn't do anything that justifies it's existence. Think playstation all stars to smash bros. Shuffle would have been better if they'd just blatantly copied Mario party more and tried to be different less
Amazing ost and it was pretty fun if you had friends and vmu's with a screen.
Being able to hide the cards you picked outright changed the game and I imagine thats how they wanted it to be before all the cheap vmus that self delete constantly came out.

not an argument
It fucking sucks
>Have 2 friends; one's super big into RetroArch
>We play a few Mario Party games, shit gets heated
>Friend adds Shuffle to his RetroArch for shits and giggles and asks us to play
>He could only find a Japanese iso so we had no idea what we were doing
>We gave up after about 20 minutes
>We then played Mary Kate and Ashley: Sweet 16: Licensed To Drive and somehow sat through an entire game, coming to the conclusion that Shuffle was better[\spoiler]
>We then played Mary Kate and Ashley: Sweet 16: Licensed To Drive and somehow sat through an entire game
You fuckers have entire generations worth of libraries to choose from and you choose a shovelware game to spend time on?
I think I just suggested it as a joke and then it turned into us actually doing it. The three of us regretted it after about 30 minutes and only ended up finishing the game at all because we were speeding it up whenever we got to a mini game.
>Not knowing the joys of Kusoge
God I hate casuals.
Sorry I don't lap up Sonic content just because Sonic is on it.
I like it but the learning curve is too high for a party game.
Mediocre, game plays way slow with a lot of loadings that may take a while, great ost, cell shading was nice, events were funny and some weird, mini games were hit or miss but some were hilarious.
Buttfuck impossible. You cannot FUCKING tell me children were able to beat story mode. No. Fuck you. This game doesn't rely on skill like Mario Party. It relies on you praying to win. This game is bullshit.
I really liked the Art style the game back then it had just the right amount of "tude" while keeping the silly aspect.
Game sucked ass tho wasn't even worth the CD I burned it on.

The only thing I liked about this game was the song, "Wake Up One". Before YouTube was a thing, I'd let my Dreamcast run for a while on the Character Select screen.
When I'd let this song play, I used to daydream, sketch, and brainstorm that Maginaryworld bridged the gap into Nightopia, which combined Sonic's world with NiGHTS' world.
That sounds like a weird-ass Summer Festival song.
It’s the greatest game in the franchise’s catalog.
... what? I dont remember the game being hard or impossible to beat or that luck based. By luck you mean what? Cards?
Kek. What a mess. Actually good ones

Ironically it's better as a single player game than as multiplayer party game.
This. I made the mistake of playing this with my bros at my birthday party. Sonic Shuffle is a room clearer
I play it every day user you could say every day im shufflin shufflin
No Zavok. It's shit.
I don't care about the gameplay, but It had an interesting story that seems to connect itself to NiGHTS into Dreams with the whole idea of Dream Dimensions.
...Too bad the story and actual gameplay was completely disconnected from one another. Sonic and friends were supposed to be working together to save Maginaryworld, and yet the gameplay pits them against each other for literally no reason. If you, Player 1, do not win, the story does not progress. It's stupid.
A Sonic RPG with cell-shaded artstyle sounds dope.
bullshit AI, probably a decent game if you play with other people.
I still have a lot of nostalgia for it though.
BASED CHADvok Bro
It's kind of amazing how hard it is to tell the difference between a 3D model of Zavok and a plastic toy
An admirable attempt at creating a Sonic party game that really deserved a sequel to iron out some of the more questionable decisions. Giving each character unique paths that they could take through the boards was a cool idea, but in practice, they were very limited in execution, and general skills like Sonic's double speed and Big's ability to stop on a space early tend to be more useful then Tails, Knuckles, and Amy's specific map spaces. It's a crying shame, because the game's atmosphere and soundtrack were on point, and Eggman fit the "Bowser Space" role like a glove.
It's funny how ST and Dimps played around with other dimensions and timelines with Eggman fucking around, but they completely forgot the dreamworld alternative.
Maybe one day someone will remember that and do another Generations with Green Hill and Chemical again. And Dream Zavok.
>hehehehe! what iiieeeeviiiiiiil invention should i use this time..? MUAHAHAHA
I loved this. And Eggman events were great
