Blizzard is dying. They can't even host Diablo 2 anymore

6,000 Queue are you kidding me?

Diablo 2 made Blizzard imagine cutting 90% of server space.

play PlugY.

also, as much as I love Diablo 2, Blizzard North was never really Blizzard.

Just play torchlight 3.

Damn... Haven't seen that screen in at least a decade.

why did they ditch torchlight frontiers?
are they still going to have it be f2p?

What's PlugY? I looked it up but seems like it's not for Battle net just a single player mod. Granted I normally just play solo lately.

Frontiers systems were wacky. Gear was tied to the zone you're in. Thats right, when you advance to the next """Frontier""" you have to get new gear for that frontier. I don't remember if your level was also tied to frontier but i think it was. Noone in the beta liked the idea. They realized literally noone wanted it to be an MMO so they're converting frontiers into simply torchlight 3 with a classic buy to play model, the last EApatch will introduce offline mode but its currently always online.

unlimited shared stash
ladder only stuff enabled in single player
you can do uber events, tristram and diablo

>2017
Congratulations on making me get on to check.

That's the last update they've made I'm still in the queue right now.

it's mostly an anti-botting measure.
just play PlugY. only reason to be on realms is for pvp, but do people even do that anymore? last time I played realms it was super laggy for me.

I heard about this and thought it was a joke
D1 only ran off one regular computer, how is D2 struggling, especially all of a sudden now

They're prepping the Diablo 2 player base as prisoners before they drum up hype for the remake.

Thanks a lot I will try out PlugY

Since this is a blizzard thread, i want to ask this here, i've never played WoW, should i waste my time in classic or go straight and dump it on retail with the upcoming Shadowlands expansion? I've been told i can do both, but i want to focus on one because real life.

Seriously something is wrong. There's no way thousands are waiting to create a game. Blizzard is up to something.

Retail is a joke of a game. Classic is entertaining and has some soul. NuWOW is just a time sink unless you pay to win.

if you can handle weebtrash play FFXIV.
if you just want a casual MMO play GW2, ESO, BDO, LotRO.
WoW peaked long ago. classic is reaching end of life and they're not going to support it like OSRS because they're too fucking incompetent to even design retail wow correctly.
shadowlands is going to flop hard, it's being rushed out because old blizzard is long dead.

Blizzard removed every employee with any creativity and replaced them with SJW diversity hires. The company is gone.

Update

All of the servers are down. Blizzard is up to something

bad timing for an update

They just don't give a fuck about you as a customer. They want to run you away. They don't want Diablo 2 fans being interested in their products. Those kinds of fans have demands about the quality of the products they're purchasing. Blizzard want the kind of fucking retards who'll cheer for the announcement of gook-tier mobileshit. The want mindless drones to lap up the shit they spew like good little consumers.

>Diablo 2 made Blizzard

I think this is the first time in D2 history the chat servers are down and only 2 games are up. Blizzard fucked up

Brood War was Blizzard North's masterpiece. But the custom games created by the players kept the casual audience. Diablo 2 was there biggest success in that it's almost the perfect game and even casuals can enjoy it playing at their own pace. The soundtrack alone made Blizzard North.

Starcraft 2 they removed custom games in favor of a soul less Blizzard approved custom game system.

Bump

No.

Blizzard hates you

BlizzGOYIM

>they still host servers for a game that was released 2000 but they can't even be bother to upgrade the servers.
>as a result making users wait for longer than 30 minutes on average to play a product that's about 20 years old.
>all of the servers were reportedly down 26 mins ago.
>the "official forum" for the product has been bunched in with the "Classic Games" category on their default forums.
>the product is barely functional with battlenet due to bugs, glitches, restrictive/broken features, disconnects, and more.
>only response from "dev team" is ladder reset and ladder reset poll
>last post from a employee was from june 6th and the last post from a second employee was in December 7, 2019.
From what I could dig up it just seems like they're prepping to discontinue support for the product in favor for Diablo 4 in order to save money.

Classic's soul dies after leveling to 60 and realizing that people just spam SM than do quests

Getting an HC char to endgame on this game is really fun, still. I've never felt as much tension from almost death situations from another game as much as this one, and the random upgrades you get in the way makes progression really fun as you can feel becoming stronger.
I don't get how my younger self spent hours spamming MF runs just to get better gear for the sake of it.
