The original premise of the MC suffering endlessly was interesting but they toned it down and probably completely forgot about it later on in the story.

It's been a while since I watched it but he boasts about his sword skills, fitness and grip strength which he built in the previous world. It made me think even more that he was actually pride because of how egotistical he was and how much he expected to be the MC but having the maids just emotionlessly kill him instead.

How? I'm not saying re:zero makes a good game, but are you caught up on shield hero? It becomes very generic and boring after the first arc. They payoff from naofumi fucking up the royals and the other heroes is the the only good part about it. It's like an Zig Forums wet dream

I'm impressed that they're getting all the original english voice actors from the anime to make the game. Its very rare these days for that to happen.

It's a strategy game where the only way to control others is by "briefing" them on what you know using investigations and Return By Death. Otherwise the only thing you can do is control Subaru, every NPC acts on it's own with anything you've told them to do and them trusting you coming into effect and changing what they'd do. i.e. If you told Rem that if an enemy comes for her to Run instead of fight, she'd make an escape instead of fighting. You have some control over the course of battle but it's mainly going to come from working out how to avoid you and everyone else dying.
It sounds interesting to say the least even if the chibi models aren't to everyone's tastes.
