It was my first too, but I just don't really care for any aspect of it anymore. The only character I really like from the lineup is Meiling, I don't find the music that appealing anymore since I prefer the instrumentation in PCB and IN, and I get the same pick up and play feel from all of them so that doesn't really draw me in either
Of course that's all pretty much subjective reasons to not like it, so you can tell me to fuck off if you want

There is no limit to how gud you can git, but after a while, there are too few people to maintain a thread on fast boards like Zig Forums.
I'm planning to 1-loop Espgaluda after I complete my current Touhou goals, because it seems like a fun game that is doable at my skill level. What other arcade shmups would you recommend for being fun and easy-ish?

STG are incredibly niche for a fast board like Zig Forums where threads die if no one posts in them for 20 minutes.
2hu threads thrive in this environment despite being games from a niche genre because it has way more stuff to talk about like the characters, fangames, ost remixes, porn, merchandise, all that shit is used as a hook to attract people and keep the threads alive. They attract people that are interested in the series for reasons other than the games, and then they end up trying the games too to see what the fuck they're all about.
What I'm trying to say is, they work differently. I think STG threads could end up thriving in a slower Zig Forums flavored board like /vr/, for example. Not /vg/ though. You are going to end up cultivating an extremely cancerous strain of autism
