Why was the third act so underwhelming? It was such a let down when the rest of the game was so good.

I've never seen a game forgotten so fast. Especially considering how good it apparently was to some people.
just got this recently with my new ps4 and while the story seems fun the gameplay is not that great. yeah switching stances is fun and theres a bunch of shit unlock but its not really fun. i do like the sidequests and i usually dont like open world games but this seems okay so far. probably wont finish it anytime soon though.
just Sony shills as usual
they've moved on to Spiderman and Demon's Souls now
Should I get that game?
Everything was a let down. The plot is horrendous and every other mission is the fucking same. The setting is nice and all but man, what a shitty game in almost every aspect.
I liked act 3, but I think it felt underwhelming for some people because the end of 2nd act was so climactic. A lot of death and betrayal happened, and probably made the sparsely populated snow area feel bleak and empty. Plus a lot of the long running side quests were coming to bitter, unsatisfying endings. Even the showdown with the Khan didn't have as much impact as the end of act 2. But despite this, the final confrontation with uncle was kino.
I don't think the game was wildly popular and there isn't all that much to discuss for the people who did play it. No lore to speculate on and no multiplayer. The gameplay and character progression is also rather simple, since you unlock all there is by the end of the game. No discussing builds or anything. Talk of it might pick back up once the multiplayer is released, though.
If you have a hard on for Japan, sure.
Is every mission just going to be go to X and kill mongols? This is all I've been doing for majority of the first act. The enemy variety is so fucking weak too. Maybe in the later acts there are different types of enemies but I have only fought 5 enemy types so far.
I have a hard on for a good game regardless of the setting
I genuinely forgot I played this game
Highest rated game of the generation. Cope.
forbes.com
popular doesnt mean its good
Then you should wait for a discount I guess
Yes, it's GOTY
The enemies get new techiques and tools later on, but they largely stick with the 5 or so major archetypes. Also yeah, most quests have you killing mongols, bandits, or ronin, with some detective work and drama thrown in there. If the historical setting and drama aren't so appealing to you then I imagine it would get painfully repetitive.
Snow area is worst area, the games gorgeous but that took the life out of it. Also you’re kinda just meandering until you fight the Khan. I swear most games can’t fucking conclude properly anymore, although that one was better than most AAA games nowadays
I'm on act 1 and just got the grappling hook and I'm already bored, please tell me it gets better
Oh, the legendary tales and duels are pretty fun and unique, though.
the setting and story are enough to keep me playing but man i wish they did a better job with the combat. I wouldn't call it bam-ham shit but its lacking something. also fuck stealth missions.
killing mongols on a snowy setting while riding a sickly horse was pretty kino imo
The combat opens up a bit as you unlock more tools and techniques. It can be pretty exciting and fun when you're weaving together archery, sword techniques, and ghost tools to take care of big groups of enemies.
Tools seem OP as fuck, I'm still early in the game but one explosive is literally everything I need to take out a group of enemies, does the game get harder as you progress? I'm playing on hard difficulty
Most of the game never gets very difficult, especially if you abuse tools and wear good armor. You don't really need to worry about managing your resources because it's easy to replenish your stock of tools between fights. Upgraded smoke bombs and kunai are strong. But there are some duels that can be difficult for some people, since you're limited to just using your sword.
Yeah, in second act you'll go against another variety but then again it's still pretty weak and boring. I also hate how every "supernatural" mission ends up being "it was a person all along! Logic!" When this is about Japan and they're always riddled with supernatural things.
Cool bro, I'll still go back to sekiro and enjoy it again. Incredible how a game about a fucking ninja did honor themes better.
this is a good game but fuck me I almost had carpel tunnel syndrome during the boss fights
Why did this game fall into obsucrity so fast
theres not much to talk about. i havent finished it but there doesnt seem to be any sort of lore for people to discuss afterwards and I doubt the ending setup for a sequel.
Why is everybody in this game fucking hideous?
WHY IS THERE NO FUCKING NEW GAME + YET, I DON'T GIVE ONE SINGLE ASS OF RAT ABOUT ANY CO OP OR MULTIPLAYER
More like it was shit all along.
