Graphically yes, but building rollercoaster is still better in rct3, mod wise i'm starting to prefer planet coaster too
RCT2 is superior to both but I love all theme park builders and I hope you enjoy whatever you play.
RCT3 has its problems but it is by far better than Planetcoaster as a game.
Planetcoaster is a mess and completely overwhelms you in customisation. Even when you do get the hang of it the moment you get a half full park your PC performance drops. Im convinced NASA couldnt' make a PC that could run a full park above 20fps
>They removed the old intro
Is there any difference between the new and the old RCT3 release?
Removal of Atari mentions and an upscale. Other than that nothing else
I played the shit out of sandbox but I think the game's age shows sometimes. The coaster and landscape options are plentiful though, as well as the mods for aesthetics.
The ui for the switch game is different
frontier focuses TOO MUCH on the graphics. their games are so fucking slow. its nothing like the quick and snappy gameplay in RCT or zoo tycoon. I get bored of frontier's games so fucking quick because of this.
I wonder why PC didn't add water parks
correct me if I'm wrong but it was mostly seen as a great addition
Are all the good PC mods on Steam Workshop?
I guess it doesn't fit with the whole "Planet Coaster" theme.
That's why they made Planet Zoo instead of releasing a Planet Coaster animal DLC
Yeah it was mainly an excuse for the Switch port.
Hold on, nevermind, i messed up, i was thinking about parkitect, that game is full of cool mods, on steam workshop there are no mods for planet coaster, only custom build
>I wonder why PC didn't add water parks
same reason they didn't add a "Wild" expansion.
Expect Planet Slide or something
Planet Coaster is superior in graphics and the freedom you have in building aesthetics is unparalleled among the coaster games but as far as the game part goes, the actual management gameplay of running a park, it felt (when I tried it) far behind RCT and Parkitect.
No, but parkitect is
are the Parkitect mods all on Workshop as well?
>Parkitect
Make way - superior RCT2 sequel comin' through!
I'd only accept it if it features some of the most advanced water physics in gaming
Is there any park management game where you also have to properly design the behind scenes part of the park?
just throwing together scenery is easy, but making a park that's functional yet properly themed is significantly more challenging
Beautiful park. Not enough stores/10
Literally parkitect. You need to figure out logistics of how to deliver supplies without guests seeing it. And you need to theme your park. You can't just build knott's berry farm and call it a perfect park
>mod wise i'm starting to prefer planet coaster too
planco has mods? since when?
Yes yes, they are, rides, custom roller coaster and whatever you would need, no water slides still
Shame there's no 3D version of that
Also is Parkitect only above-ground or does it have the option for disney land style catacombs?
You can terraform and build tunnels, most of Disneyland barring haunted mansion is all above ground with window dressing to make you feel underground
not talking about the rides, talking about the underground staff-only sections of disneyland
they're well documented enough by now
Wonder what Chris Sawyer's up to these days
Ohhhh. Yes you can run supplies underground

It's mainly just custom items made in-game
Yeah, i was thinking or parkitect, not pc
thats not what mods are
His last project was a mobile remaster of RCT2 with stuff from RCT1 included as well.
Do any other games allow me to make spoopy parks?
it's almost spoopy time and i feel that tingle in my pringle.
Probably still riding coasters
